Michelle Obama, class act. Even at the last Ball last night, still looked beautiful and graceful, though I'm sure she was hurting after a full day of walking and excitement.
Great role model for us all!
After reading some tr0ll responses here and on other threads I realize how I have come to hate for the first time in my life. It makes me very sad, but I HATE Republicans and what they stand for. I can't even talk to the few Republicans that I know for fear that I might do them physical harm. Fortunately for me, most of the Republicans I knew before the election are now Democrats. They came to hate what their party had become and felt that they had no choice but to leave.
You HATE people who believe in responsibility and accountability? Obama seems to be stressing the importance of both, so do you HATE him also? I've read lots of comments over the last few months on this website, and I have been stunned at the vitriol and hate that comes from the 'party of tolerance'. I'm a Republican, and I don't hate anyone and I'm also very happy about Obama's election. You need to listen to him and agree to disagree, but quit HATING, ESPECIALLY IN CAPITAL LETTERS!!!!
What the Republicans have done to this country has absolutely NOTHING to do with responsibility and accountability. Everything they have done is the exact opposite of those words.
I am trying very hard to get over the hate I feel towards the Bush Crime Family and most Republicans. But it's really hard when I come here and read all the vitriol the whiny poor losers post here and on other blogs.
Misery loves company, my sister - the opposite of love is not hate, don't fall into that trap. The opposite of love is indifference.
Hate is a blight on the soul, a cancer that will surely chew you up from within.
Don't let it.
Pity those afflicted with the cancer.
Love conquers all.
She'll be a great First Lady. She and her husband both are dedicated to public service and she will do great things.
Her green glove - symbol of ECO? Green?
Olive green is my favorite color because, I am conscious of "Green - ECO"...
The symbolism is there for all to see.
She who once bore the children of slaves (willingly) and slavemasters (because she had no choice) now has her rightful place and recognition as the de facto mother of the nation which for so long took her for granted....
Ah, but it was the blue-black and charcoal black beauties of ancient Nubia and Cush (when ALL of Africa was known as Ethiopia) that birth the human r-a-c-e. Asante Asana!!
I really love Michelle Obama. I was s t r u c k early on by her intelligence, class, and charisma. In some ways I like her better than Barack because she is more of a straight talker. After eight years of Barack, I would be very glad to support this woman in politics and eventually as president. She has everything that Hillary lacks when I look for a candidate, and that is integrity.
I'm with you. Given the choice between meeting Barack or Michelle, I'd pick Michelle because she truly is Barack's rock. I think they are a fabulous team, and I really envy the happiness they (as a family) exude every time they are together.
Stunning and Smart!
21 year old white male here
and michele obama is sexy...not in the centerfold kind of way but in a more subtle kind of way. I'm glad she's our first lady instead of cindy mccain. I always liked it when michelle would give speeches during the primaries and it's a bad thing that she stopped doing them now.
A vast improvement to the Stepford wife of the last 8 years.
I LOVE this woman she is a role model and someone to admire. I have no doubt she will be an exceptional First Lady.
Carol
Michelle has class. Highly educated, but still down to earth. She will make a fine First Lady. Our Prayers are with you and your family. God Bless
And like her husband, she exudes competence and confidence. Can't begin to imagine how proud her mother must be of her.
She's a good woman and will be a great first lady.
What are you basing that on?
A supportive and loving wife, a devoted and caring mother; an accomplished professional woman who rose above her circumstances to achieve great things academically: 2 degress from 2 of the finest schools in the country; a woman who has devoted her life to her family, her profession and to community service. And you?
I'll tell you what I'm basing it on. Good woman part: anyone who is a good daughter and a good mother and a good wife. Look at the antecedents, what her parents emphasized, and look at the product, her sweet children. And President Obama would not be where he is now without her by his side. Great first lady part: look at the values she sets before the nation, the work she has already done for our servicemen and our needy. What would be your criteria for a good woman or great first lady?
You apprently think differently. What are you basing THAT on?
Today, Michelle's feet probably hurt and she's probably tired after yesterday's long day. They need to cut those balls to 5 and let the couple go home for some R&R.
I noticed that she wore flats this morning to the National Prayer Meeting.
