Former Vice President Al Gore will make a rare appearance on Capitol Hill next week, when he appears as an expert on climate change before the Senate's Foreign Relations Committee.
Mr. Gore, the winner of both a Nobel Peace Prize and an Oscar for his work in environmental policy, is expected to discuss the role he believes the United States should take as a leader on the issue. Within the last year or more, he has championed a new initiative, We Can Solve It, through his nonprofit group, The Alliance for Climate Protection.
