I Like ItI Don’t Like It

Meghan McCain spoke to CNN's John Roberts this morning about the inauguration, her mother's infamous demeanor, the media bias she thinks is directed toward her family and her mother's worst moments on the campaign trail. Meghan also took a page out of her father's campaign playbook by criticizing The New York Times. When pressed on whether she'd changed her policy to not discuss Sarah Palin, Meghan said, "I don't really think I would like to look back on what happened during the election."

Watch the interview:

She's not so slick yet, or she wouldn't follow up all that babble about what a nice family Palin has with "and I'd prefer not to comment"

If you watch her dad sidestepping the same questions, he says Palin's a wonderful woman, blah blah, and that IS the comment. He doesnt' underline the fact that he didn't answer the question.

Still a few things you can learn from the old man, M. McCain.

The only thing I'm interested in that this girl has to say is the gossip she doesn't want to share. When someone plays hard to get then the strategy is to stop being interested in their little protected prize. I predict she'll dish on Sarah when Sarah dishes on the McCain family. We won't have to wait long, and it won't be all that exciting, folks.
I'm more interested in Nicole Ritchie than Meghan McCain. Where are my Nicole updates?

Gee,

My kids are pretty politically astute. Will CNN help them sell a book? Build a career? I'd so appreciate it...

Think about all of the people who work hard to get through school and work hard every day doing something useful and productive who never get reconized.

Why is this woman, who only claim to fame are her parents, being made into some kind of star?

Watch that she will be invited to be a co-host of Meet The Press or be given a job as a tee-vee commentator on NBC.

Avoiding the question becomes the answer. If this typical avoid- the -uncomfortable- issues -Republican daughter of a loser presidential candidate thinks leaving a void will suffice she's wrong. She tried to neatly package her answers with the new Republican/Stepford wife approach. There wasn't one time she admitted that the dirty campaign her father led might have been reason for the press coverage he got. Why listen to this mealy mouth chic? I bet she can swear with the best of them.

Please don't pretend that the McCain political machine is more innocent than any other. This woman presents herself more like a little schoolgirl than the politically astute person she wants us to take her for. Her views are going to be skewed as far as her parents are concerned. As far as Palin is concerned...if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all. The only credential this woman has going for her is that she's related to her father. Let's hear something worthwhile....PLEASE!!!

http://syrin.vox.com/

She also has an internet radio podcast which is well worth listening to, and you can access that at the link above.

HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. I repeat: HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Lest we forget the rich minefield of Sarah Palin and her stupidity, this blog will remind us over and over not to trust her and exactly why she doesn't belong anywhere near the White House. This is in my favorites now--thanks for sharing!

She simply wants to make the rounds to all the cable channels to tell us she does not want to talk about the campaign - the only part of her boring life that any of us would care at all about?

Meghan is a distraction b/c of the bad makeup....Mother worse. M. is so pretty, I would love to see her natural look. She is sweet and very bipartisan. I so appreciated her during the campaign smoothing over what her parents were so tart and nasty about "I've always been proud of my country"...

I don't want to hear my governor complain, while asking for a $25,000 pay raise. She makes our past corrupt Governor look like Mark Begich. Mark had to pay small fines for forgetting to mark a FEW items in his financial disclosure forms. The man had to pay a total of $1,127, give or take a few 20's.

While Palin has a laundry list: items, vacations, taxing us for staying at home, and her kids to fly with her on business trips. But of course the Republicans of my state chose not to pressure this issue and let it go. She didn't have to pay any fines but that's ok.

Wouldn't want to hurt her feelings.

Even though she claims she isn't a feminist . . . After claiming she's a feminist. Also when she was interviewed by Brian Williams: "I'm not gonna label myself anything, Brian," said Palin. "And I think that's what (annoys) a lot of Americans, especially in a political campaign, is to start trying to label different parts of America different, different backgrounds, different...I'm not going to put a label on myself."

To cancel these statements out:

"start trying to label different parts of America " - "these small towns(Wasilla) that we get to visit, and in these wonderful little pockets of what I call the "real" America."--"pro-America areas of this great nation."

"different backgrounds" - Need I post quotes for this? I'm sure you know of the all too familiar terrorist chants.

Palin's camp doesn't hesitate when it comes to calling others sexist. She tries to have her cake and eat it too. You can't have it both ways. She is the worst of both worlds, not the best. She exploits her situation to the hilt and that is why so many people don't like her be they conservative or liberal.

Palin is anything but feminist-she's mouthing the words but not walking the walk. rape kit anyone?

Governor Palin refused a pay rise of 25,000 dollars. Selling the state jet saved Alaska over 400,000 dollars. This more than compensates for any necessary and perfectly legal travel and per diem expenses. Governor Palin is a different kind of feminist and believes in collaborate equality between men and women; nor does she believe that being pro-abortion should define feminism. Governor Palin's evocation of small town and rural America was not disparaging of any other parts, but a reposte to the attitude of comtempt displayed by some powerfull coastal elites to 'flyover country'.

GeneCar: First of all...YAWN. Second of all, quit defending that has-been. Yes, has-been. I predict that she will make it no further than the office that she already holds. Maybe she can have a redo as mayor of Wasilla. She just needs to stay in Alaska or perhaps move somewhere close by, within view, like RUSSIA.

And GeneCar: I meant to mention that your argument and throwing about the term 'coastal elitist' is so outdated and meaningless. You're just mad that they lost, which they richly deserved.

"Governor Palin refused a pay rise of 25,000 dollars."

Raise. The word is raise. Regardless, she's billed the state for more than that for her expenses and for her FAMILY'S travel expenses. When did the state of Alaska hire her family?

"Selling the state jet saved Alaska over 400,000 dollars."

Are you sure about that? You sure it didn't just shift the travel costs into another part of the budget?

"Governor Palin is a different kind of feminist and believes in collaborate equality between men and women;"

1. How does that make her different than the rest of feminists who want equality between men and women?
2. The word would be "collaborative" if you want to use it as an adjective.
3. What in the hell is "collaborative equality", anyway? Collaborative means "working together", as in a "collaborative effort". What the hell is a "working together equality"?

"nor does she believe that being pro-abortion should define feminism."

The feminist movement, along with the general progressive movement, is more pro-life than conservatives will ever be. We believe in supporting women AND men in the process of having children from conception right through watching their kids graduate from college. We believe in giving those who choose to have children the best pre- and post-natal care in the world, regardless of race, color, creed, sexual orientation, marital status, age, or income.

PUKE! John McCain just said on Larry King: "I sure hope that the American people look back on the campaign that we ran and know that it was a respectful one".
OMG - he ran the nastiest campaign since one was run against him! How dare he wish for this?

I was sure impressed with his respect for "That One".

Hmmmm..... Wish I would have kept a tape of all those robocalls on my answering machine and the huge stack of Anti-Obama "literature" that came in my mail everyday for weeks! (I live in a battleground state in case you didn't already guess) Vicious, mean spirited, brutal lies you could not get away from even if you never turned on your TV.
