Obama Booty-Bumps At Neigborhood Ball (VIDEO, PHOTO)

At the Neighborhood Ball on Tuesday night, 14-year-old Victoria Lucas challenged Obama to do "The Bump" with her. As the elated 9th grader told People the next day:

"He was just a very smooth, cool, laidback dancer. He was just like a normal person," assessed Lucas. "You would never think this dude earlier today was sworn in as our next president.

...."He's just an all-American good dancer. I hope I find a boy like that!"

Getting Obama to dance wasn't difficult, either. "I said to him, 'Let's start the Bump,' and he was like, 'Well, okay!' And we just started doing the Bump.

"It was the only dance move I knew that was good for TV. And I think we both had the basic movement going on and it just sort of fell into place."

Did anybody else notice the powerful symbolism of the new royalty of the most powerful nation on earth *WALKING* down Pennsylvania avenue? Not riding in a convertible, not elevated from the people, but both feet on the ground WALKING to the nation's capitol. This was absolutely incredible. We will be digesting this symbolism for years to come.

Half of us are still in a daze at what just happened January 20, 2009.

Please keep up somewhat with American politics. All Presidents WALK down the parade route. Google "clinton inaugural parade" and "bush inaugural parade" and ford, reagan, carter, etc.

The difference is the amount of people, and if I'm not mistaken, Obama is the one who got out of the car twice, and the first time was unannounced. It is a tradition for Presidents to walk in their parade.

Hey wanttruth: this is MUCH more than a "Cute moment"....we now have a chief exec who can shake his groove thing!....that is almost as important as having one who can use words of four syllables and know what they mean, can say he attended an Ivy League school and graduated with honors without becoming a pompous, nose-in-the-air tightass (BUMP it BEE-OH, BUMP it!), and has the ethics of a true 21st centurey statesman. You know, there's something I don't understand. There are so many repub tro//s on this site that supposedly h@te Obama. But, I don't understand this: why do they come HERE? I know about limbaugh and fox news, but I don't visit their sites or listen to their propaganda. I'm here because this is what I like. I'm beginning to think that maybe these people secretly like Obama or are curious about him but do not want to admit it. Class is too small a word. Please go to the last picture in this commander in chief's ball highlights. There in the red, white and dress blues was a young man who apparently had lost his legs defending his country and was now dancing to Bon Jovi and others at a Presidential Inaugural Ball. That is class.
