I Like ItI Don’t Like It

The House of Representatives was gaveled into its first session of the Obama presidency at noon Wednesday. At that hour, Rep. John Boehner (R-Ohio), the Republican minority leader in the House, was speaking to reporters about Democrats' unwillingness to open up debate on the $850 billion stimulus package, and Republicans' request to meet with the president on Thursday to push for their own proposals.

"President Obama asked for our input and asked for our ideas," said Boehner. "And we've been working to develop those and want to share those with [the administration]."

Yes its business as usual for the GOP. Obstruct the Democrats and then lie about it. The GOP means to destroy America at all costs. A more Anti-American organization does not exist on this planet.

Boehner's a voice box.

Cantor's calling the shots for the Repubs these days.

Pelosi is not being nice. Be nice Nancy, girls are supposed to be nice. Maybe cook them dinner, or better, iron their shirts. Okay, I'm being mean. Just having a little fun.

"If you're in the Congress, you"re thinking "they"re going to double-cross me, they"re going to screw me."
While misogyny (or an outdated view/use of woman as seen in the SarahPalinDebacle) shown by GOP pols is another issue to talk about, it's the quote above using the term "double-cross" was actually what surprised me. When the Norquists of this world start to talk, then a capable journalist has to keep them talking. Too bad.

Obstructionism is just so typical of the repugnant party.

For 8 long years the GOP proved each, and every day they care absolutely NOTHING for what is best for America. To a repuglican, they care only for what is good for their party. To the GOP, it's always party before nation. This one fact is the key reason their 6 years in FULL POWER was totally, and completely unsuccessful.

They will continue to be unsuccessful until they come to grips that cooperation is the key factor in living in a nation of many voices.

“Regardless of what Obama says,” said Norquist, “Pelosi and Reid are not going to allow all of this to happen. If you’re in the Congress, you’re thinking ‘they’re going to double-cross me, they’re going to screw me.’ But even if you think that’s the likely endgame, why say that?”
This shows how important it is to look into all media outlets. Nice opportunity to openly see his trains of thought (still carrying the bathtub around), especially re Rep Pelosi and Sen Reid.

"Strategy"? "Strategery"? As long as the GOP believes "negotiate and find common ground" is a weakness while their "policy" of Baffle 'Em With Bullshit is a strength, this is the delaying tactic against real progress we get. Pockets so deep all meaningful governance gets lost. Who wins when the least among us lose? The fascists teach us the real meaning of "evolution in action"? Spare me.

If these clowns are the face & voice of the Republican party, it won't be long before they find themselves in the stoneage.

The rest of us shall progressively move with the times.

The Republican party continues to underestimate the intelligence of the American people. They think that the old way is going to work as usual. They are not going to get away with their underhanded games anymore. In other words the jig is up and they are going to have to play by the rules.

In other words, set Obama up to fail despite a congressional majority, so the GOP can say "told ya so" in 4 years....

Start with Boehner who always seems to have a look of absolute disgust on his face. Did you see him at the Inauguration? He looked totally bored and irritated. He could have stayed home - we wouldn't have missed him at all. Get over it Boehner - Obama and the Dems won!!!!!!!
