State Of The Union: Obama To Address Congress In February

President Barack Obama will give a State of the Union style address to Congress sometime in February, spokesman Robert Gibbs said during Friday's press briefing.

"I think it is likely that he will speak to Congress, a joint session in Congress, sometime in February. I don't believe that we have got a date nailed down. I know there is interest from your bosses whether it will coincide with Dancing With The Stars ... and I don't mean Congress," he said. "It is something we are doing, I just don't know the time frame."

An Obama aide notes that while Obama will address the legislature it may not technically qualify as a State of the Union Address. To be determined is whether or not the president will get a hug for Joe Lieberman and/or a kiss from Michelle Bachman.

Obama will have been in office a month or so by then. Shouldn't he be thinking about vacation instead? We should get a fund together so he can move to Crawford and cut brush or something important.

I think that we better pray that Lieberman and Bachman keep their hands off of Obama. I'm sure that having both of their cooties on you at the same time is toxic, probably cancer causing. Its hard to believe that Joe and Michelle are members of the same party.

Look the Republicans have opposed every progressive, forward looking idea which liberals & progressives have introduced for 8 years. The Republcans want us to go back to 1/20/01. Anna Roosevelt had the good sense to divorce Curtis Dall in 1935 In the sixties Dall was a darling of the racist right, running for vice President as a candated for the "Constitution Party," a Texas based anti-segregation outfit.
