Jonathan Handel: SAG Awards: Impressions from the Red Carpet
The SAG Awards sparkled. Women in beautiful dresses, perfectly accessorized; men crisply attired in suits or tuxes; and flash cameras and video everywhere --it was quite a scene.

Tallulah Morehead: Drooping at the Saggy Awards
I worship her, but Tina Fey couldn't have won more awards if she'd died tragically a year ago. She'll probably pick up an Oscar next month, and she's not even nominated.

These actors used to snub non-Oscar awards like this. I guess with the economy tanking, they need this kind of exposure which could translate into good business and money.
Streep forever. Tell THAT to the critics of DOUBT.
A seriously unflattering group of gowns at this event!
"Claire Danes? WTF?! Q tip, anyone?"
Made me laugh out loud with that one. She needs to eat something soon! She looks so anorexic.
I thought Kate Winslet and Viola Davis looked so beautiful in their gowns. WOW! Just gorgeous!
Tasteless, everyone of them and Katie Holmes and Angelina Jolie looked like house maids - where is the hollywood glamour anymore -
The biggest laugh of the night was when Katie Holmes presented Best Actor....a minor actress married to a major player gets immediate benefits, I guess. What a joke...and please Katie stop that bizarre cute face thing, it's too trippy...something's wrong there...
Meryl stole the show!
Kate Winslett's gown was simply stunning. The color, the design, the fit.....fabulous!
teri hatcher needs some food
please feed her housewives
Meryl was funny, delicious, cute even dressed down the way she was. And I loved what she said about there not being a "best"... she was in very fine form indeed. She was on top of the world, and knew it. It was a very refreshing moment when she won.
why? she is older, mature, and centered. livf is more than awards, glamour, and frills. Meryl gets it. It's unfortunate she wasn't recognized for stepping outside the box in Mamma Mia -- a fun, unpretentious movie. All of the "elders" were willing to step away from the seriousness and really seemed to enjoy what they were doing. It's a shame the "critics" can't step outside the box. Awards are great, but the bottom line is those of us who PAY to see the actors display their craft (good or bad).
Laura Dern doesn't look good I agree - and Angelina looks terrible, what kind of dining room table cloth did she throw over her bony body ?
Creeper Brad looking on at her - ew.
Kate Winslet looks alright (not sure about that dress).
Emily whatever your name is looks stunning - Claire Danes looks really good too.
Susan S ages well - and Terry not so much.
Soooo in agreement with you re: Jolene's alleged "dress." It's like the sheet they throw over a decomposing body awaiting an autopsy. How appropriate.
Oh My God, Katie, put on a bra please!
you guys are soo funny!
that's the kind of honesty I want to see on the red carpet!!!
