I Like ItI Don’t Like It

Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich continued his television campaign proclaiming his innocence on "The View" Monday and ended up getting his hair tousled by cohost Joy Behar.

Read a live-blog of Blago's complete appearance HERE.

After a segment of Barbara Walters, via satellite, questioning Blago one-on-one, the panel came back. Most of the interview consisted of the Governor complaining that the Illinois impeachment trial won't allow him to bring witnesses who would prove his innocence.

At the end, Behar got upset that their time was over and asked him to do his Nixon impression, which she has heard is great. Caught off guard, Blago laughed but repeatedly refused, and earned a head rub from Behar.

We all, well me anyway, thought O.J. was going to be found guilty.
Just goes to show that we will have to wait for the verdict.
That would be the jury verdict, not the MSM verdict.
On the bright side, impeached or not, we will be able to watch the Blago show for a year or two
before his criminal trial.

This is one of the few times that I wanted to see Elizabeth Hasselbeck in a segment. She, Whoopi, and Joy could be united for a change.

Down with Blago.

Blagojevich has done a lot of good for the poor of Illinois, yet he is a dirty crook.

Thanks to the Chicago Tribune, he won't be going to a federal prison.

They published a story that Blago was being wire tapped by the Feds. Blago proceeded to tell his brother to "cancel that thing" (accepting money from Jessie Jackson's chronies). A crime would have been committed and Blago would be going to jail.

There you go trying to taint the young, progressive black representative, who has paid his dues. Don't put JJ's name in this. Everyone involved said he had nothing to do with it. Shame on you for perpetuating a lie.

sorry, you're delusional. Jesse Jackson's right hand peeps were implicated and it strains credulity to believe JJ had nothing to do with it, especially in light of the fact that his father was an expert in working the machine and the art of the shakedown.

They have LOTS of stuff on him.
Remember the two trials they have already had?(Rezko and....damn, I can't think of his name. The guy who bought a job in Blagos administration for $50k)
Blaho was woven into both. And the feds have been looking at him for YEARS.
Those who say innoce3nt until proven guilty are right.
But I think, in the end, he will go to "club fed"

He will go by way of the courts and serve time at "Club Fed", but he is fun to watch. I love what he has to say and hear the poems or the justification of his innoence. I can actually say I would rather watch his yuck-yuck than Madoff.

WTF??!!
John McCain, a decorated Vietnam War veteran and respectable member of the U.S. government goes on the show and they treat him like garbage.
Rod Blagojevich goes on and they joke with him and treat him like a stand up guy while we all know he's as crooked and dirty as they come?

What a caulk-roach this guy is. (LOL)

What is not funny is that he really seems to suffer from a mental disorder.
He's not all there. And that's scary.

That's because you are listening to the media. Otherwise, you wouldn't have formed an opinion about him already. This is why lawyers grill potential jury members because the press taints people's opinions and defendant's don't get a fair trial in this country.

He should be afforded due process. He should be allowed to bring witnesses and show his proof to dispute what he's being accused of. To not afford him that is just unAmerican.

Oh, no, Solja, I have a family member with a personality disorder who exhibits many of the same behaviors and skewed thought processes and reality as Gov. Blagojevich. I don't need the press to point that out to me. I've lived it.

To have him on a major TV network as a respected guest is abhorrent... Just as it would be to have a Senator accused of improper relations with a teenage page or O.J Simpson or a mafia tough guy who extorted small businesses or a Wall Street CEO who Marie Antoinetted while his corporation got bailout $$$.

He fail to file the papers in time.
Rule 14 senate impeachment
HE DECIDED NOT TO CALL WITNESSES!
That is what he meant when he said he would not take part in the proceedings.
I'm not saying he's guilty or not. I am just saying the "Won't let me call witnesses"
defence is bogus.

I watched a documentary about mental illness a while back.
Some of the conditions were really bizarre.
Now, I'm not trying to be a smart a$$, but is it possible that maybe there is an undiagnosed condition
that would explain the wild behavior and statements?

And we US citizens know how to recognize "creepy" when we witness it,

after having been exposed to it nonstop for 8 long years, and then

receiving a final heaping serving by way of The Republican Ticket during the presidential campaign.

And we also know that "creepy" is just a mask that minimally disguises DANGEROUS and DERANGED.

Blago...a sideshow
the View- entertainment
perfect venue for him
I am not finding him guilty before it is proven
but he is going out of his way to be in the media and put on a show
he is not what I would want in an elected official-innocent or guilty

He is going out of his way because he has no choice. The media has formed an opinion, and now the general public is/has formed an opinion, without having heard ANY of the facts in this case. Now how is he so guilty of trying to sell a senate seat when every single person involved said he never approached them? Where is the proof that he is guilty? The burden of proof SHOULD be on the State, not the defendant.

I'm an Illinois resident and have thought for weeks now that they are not treating him fairly. He is not crazy and I'm waiting on the MEDIA to also be fair. Just look at the stories associated with this lame attempt at an article. This whole thing about Joy smooshing his hair. Come on! Where is the frickin' news here?

The media are ALL just as guilty as the IL state legislature. Just notice how they all are shaping the news, instead of reporting it. They are too busy laughing and making jokes about him instead of reporting the story on BOTH sides, not just the IL legislature's side.

Poor Guy took too many shots to the head when he boxed...He really thinks he's above the law and everybody should be proud of him for standing up for his rights. Even if he believes he has the right to extort money, positions, power or maybe just playing God with a foul mouth of course. It make makes you wonder what kind of new words his Kids learned today. His home must a house of higher education of the english language and not to mention finance made easy for morons.

In the end the Illinois state senate will look like they jumped the gun on this impeachment process, and Blago will not get convicted of anything substantive.

They have no evidence except the word of the Fitzgerald, who has refused to release any of the tapes to them. So they have no evidence, just their opinions.

I hope you are wrong, but you may be right.
It is important though, to separate the impeachment with the pending legal case.
The burden of proof is VERY different.

I hope he is found not guilty just because the state senate has been unfair in this entire thing. The AG called a press conference and tainted the man before the entire country. Now people "automatically" think he did everything the AG said, but NOBODY has heard these tapes, nobody has stepped up to say he did these things, and NO proof has been offered, except the AG's word. Please. Fitzgerald prosecuted Scooter Libby and Cheney & Co. are still walking around free.

Only in America!
