Blago Gets Noogie, Refuses To Do Nixon Impression On "The View" (VIDEO)

Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich continued his television campaign proclaiming his innocence on "The View" Monday and ended up getting his hair tousled by cohost Joy Behar.

After a segment of Barbara Walters, via satellite, questioning Blago one-on-one, the panel came back. Most of the interview consisted of the Governor complaining that the Illinois impeachment trial won't allow him to bring witnesses who would prove his innocence.

At the end, Behar got upset that their time was over and asked him to do his Nixon impression, which she has heard is great. Caught off guard, Blago laughed but repeatedly refused, and earned a head rub from Behar.

There is due process - he'll be through a proper trial for his criminal case. This is an impeachment - the standards are different, since this is not a matter of criminal prosecution to remove your freedom, this is a matter of seeing if he should continue to retain the high privilege of being the governor.

Where is the proof? Because Fitzgerald said it, it has to be true or right? PLEASE! Our justice system sucks to high heaven and Fitzgerald is no saint and he's not the best AG. If he was, Blago would have been indicted right now but he's not because Fitzgerald has no case. THAT's why the state legislature needs to wait until AFTER Fitzgerald's trial to see if the man is guilty or not. If he is found guilty, fine, lock him up, but if not, he should not lose his job that the people elected him to... TWICE.

The legal trial is coming - he's being prosecuted - and I've no doubt he'll get a lot of jail time.

But the matter of if a governor who has shown himself crooked should remain in office is not a criminal matter, it's political, and thus runs through the impeachment process, which moves a great deal faster, since we cannot afford to keep a crook in office.

Please, leave the "mental health professionals" alone. The poor guy just went a little bit too far and got caught. I am sure that many in Illinois and in this country are no better than he is.

In general, and there are few exceptions, "mental health professionals" are the most out of touch, self serving and inappropriate kind of people. They pretend that what they do is a science and arrogate themselves with the pretense that they can make diagnoses while they are basically unable to figure out what their clients are trying to tell them. The fact that they have to use "35-letter" words to describe someone demonstrate their inability to talk to or about someone in plain language.

Oh, and I maintain this mantra: Anyone making a "Psychological diagnosis" is basically talking about himself. Example: Whomever said that blago is "Narcissistic" is actually saying that about himself, that s/he is, actually "Narcissistic".

Wait a minute....­you just read a selected portion of the transcript that was not even in context and you took Fitzgerald interpretation for the Gospel truth....a truth Fitzgerald seems to still need more time in fine tuning. If the tape was "all that" ...he would have ran to the grand jury but instead he took it to the public who bit the bait and tried this man before public opinion who standards of due process is lacking for a one sided case is all they need to indict although they have not the authority to indict however, for a grand jury...thi­s attorney general knows better than to bring a sloppy or chopped up taped...fo­r they will insists on hearing the whole entire conversation in context...­a requiremen­t...public opinion people do not need to do in order to decide guilt or innocence. If he is innocent he should put the needs of his state above his own and stand aside pending a swift legal trial. His Lt. Gov can fill in until the case has run its course. If he is acquitted then he can retake his place as governor for the remainder of his term.

The impeachment process and a federal case are two different creatures. In only the latter are his Constitutional rights truly protected. In the former, the state's rights trump his.

He should demand that the Feds act with haste to try him on the criminal conspiracy charges. This will guarantee him his day in a real court of law where he can call witnesses and make his case. Until then, in the interests of his state, he must stand aside.
