BOSTON — Sen. Edward Kennedy will not immediately return to Washington after suffering a seizure shortly after the inauguration of President Barack Obama.

A Kennedy spokeswoman said Monday the Massachusetts Democrat will instead work out of Florida, where he previously spent time recuperating from brain cancer treatment. There is no date for his return to the Capital.

Dear Uncle Ted, Rest up so that you can get back in there for the health care bill. Thank you for all you have done for those of us who need help. As you know, there are many of us who rely on you for the voice of reason and decency for all Americans. You are still the best for my money! Blessings to you and your family. Come back ready for the fight for the right of health care.
