I Like ItI Don’t Like It

The labor powerhouse Service Employees International Union will become the first union to call on Bank of America to fire embattled CEO Ken Lewis later this morning, union officials tell me.

What makes this move interesting and unusual is that the SEIU call for Lewis' ouster isn't part of any campaign to organize Bank of America's workers. Instead, it's the first shot in a broader public relations strategy that the big unions are devising to push for passage of the Employee Free Choice Act, a top labor priority.

I fully SUPPORT putting Ken and the Board of Directors on the street. He's a crook along with the other top 10 banks and their boards. You just can't smoke the CEO/President .... you MUST get the boards too.

I have been trying to follow what is going on with the executives, http://free.onesource.com/Bank_of_America-executives/t_k/v_43294799/p_8 has provided some insight but it worries me, that such a large entity will be going through turmoil. Unfortunately B OF A is too big to fail....

Don't fire them. Make it a condition that they are not to receive compensation in excess of the top paid public official of the United States of America - $400,000 is their salary cap - why should they make more than the President? Then if they take the money they will leave on their own and without a golden parachute.

I think, Washington should just make the banks return the TARP money back to the citizens. The banks who received the first TARP money not only can account how the money was spent but they also can't show that the money was spent on behalf of he citizesn. To me, the banks are in default with the citizens and we should demand our money be returned so the money can be spent DIRECTLY to businesses to rehired laid-off workers. I have been writing to Washington everday with this demand to get our money back. This action will definitely send the message to greedy banks that we citizens are fed up with their bull. SPEAK OUT AMERICA - GIVE US BACK OUR MONEY!!!

Actually, that should be one of the stipulations of receiving bailout money, ALL current CEOs will need to step down before money is issued.

How about them apples?

Sounds like a great plan to me. Before we give you money, clean up your bloated management structure. That is the true cause of most of these largest companies internal woes.

CEO's, CFO's, C"x"O's and every single Board member...

Also, a law needs to be made that no executive level employee can serve on any other company's Board. In-cest-uous relationships between executives & Boards need to stop...

You mean like the republicans that are being lobbied by corporate America to have more accelerated investment depreciation tax credits in the amount of $23 billion included in the stimulus package; even when every economist in the federal government, in the private sector and in our university systems across the country say these types of tax credits have almost no effect on simulating the economy. I agree and the campaign to oust them should be to post every vote and argument they make on every blog we can find. Force main stream media to pay attention to the demands of the republicans and democrats that want to include things that will not work. Things obviously demanded via political contributions that are not in the interest of the people. EXPOSE THEM

Uh oh... SEIU... better watch it. You may find your leadership being arrested tomorrow on corruption charges like the last guy who challenged Bank of America.... hahahahahahaha

Seriously though... it's good to see the labor movement on the forefront of this.

They need to fire all of these clowns. Find some fresh MBA's with morals and character and let them have a crack at it.
