Davos Day 1: Gauging The Pain Around The World

The title was Update 2009: North America, but it might as well have been called, A Tour of the World: Who's Got It Worse?

From Pakistan to Afghanistan to Israel, Iran and yes, North America, moderator Josef Joffe of Germany's Die Zeit led the audience and panelists through a gauntlet of which threat was most worrisome: terrorism, nuclear weapons, the failure of the peace process, or greedy bankers and out-of-control deficit spending in New York and Washington.

I imagine the elite are doing anything in their power to stop reform but they don't get it. It's in the bankers best interests to not stand in the way of peaceful revolution.

They don't want the alternative.
