NoLimits.org: Clinton Supporters Launch New Group

Clinton

Hillary Clinton, having been confirmed as Secretary of State, has to end all her various campaign activities. But supporters of the former Senator have started a new organization: NoLimits.org.

In an email, the group describes itself as "a new community dedicated to speaking up, sharing ideas and solving problems in our communities, our cities, our states, and our world."

"Inspired by Hillary's speech in Denver, when she said 'With our ingenuity, innovative spirit and creativity, there are no limits to what is possible in America,' we formed NoLimits.org so that we can continue working together on the issues that are important to us," writes Clinton aide Ann Lewis.

Lewis tells Ben Smith that the group is a 501(c)3, meaning it can't engage in politics.

"We want a way to stay in touch," Lewis said, describing a sentiment she said she and other Clinton supporters shared after the convention. "We want to stay in touch with what's going on."

It's appears also to be a way to keep Hillary's substantial email list -- a political lifeline -- up and running, and could also house Clinton political staffers while Clinton is out of politics.

"The staff will grow as we go," Lewis said, saying the group's aims would be open-ended and "responsive" to what members want.

I could be wrong. But I honestly believe this group aren't PUMAs. (It's possible that people now part of NoLimits.org joined a PUMA group early on but were quickly disillusioned, and dropped out of that lunacy.)

The reason I think this is because the majority of Hillary supporters I've spoken with online this fall were very reasonable people. A little sad, quick to criticize sure, but they were rational and decent for the most part.

But I also think it because of something I read yesterday. I was curious about where the PUMA leadership were holed up these days. And I saw a snip from a Newsweek encounter with Will Bower of Just Say No Deal. It was truly pathetic. He quit his job, lives off his savings, and his sole focus now is PUMA and some vagueries about election reform. He went to the inauguration in a Hillary tshirt roaming the crowd, and all he needed was a deflated Hillary balloon dragging the dust on a string to make the image complete. He says he considers Hillary the shadow President. His whole life, this 36 year old man, is PUMA.

And somehow I don't believe anybody that obsessed would relinquish his cherished role of the King of All Things Hillary to this group. This group is too focused on a positive to be a natural outgrowth of his teensy carping club.

These aren't PUMAs. I'd bet on it.

Yes.

Great Idea....Hillary has inspired us as have many others, so good for them!

By the way you Hillary haters really need to get over it and move on.....she's part of Obamas team now, so any attacks on her are attack on Obama and his judgment.

It's time to put your bitterness aside and be part of the team.

"bitterness" . . . . what's there to be bitter about? Obama won, Clinton came close . . . . is what it is.

Lucky for Hillary that Biden decided on the VP spot over SoS, or else Hillary would still be wanting . . . .

This Obama supporter never hated Hillary, just her actions and the actions of those surrounding her.

As SoS, she has my full support and hope for success. As for this 501(c)3 . . . . not so much
09:15 PM on 01/28/2009
No Limits? Really? You guys sure put a limit on how much to give to retire her campaign debt. These people are still bitter over Obama's win so instead of answering his call for service they make up this whack group in honor of Hillary.
02:52 AM on 01/29/2009
So wheres your call to service? Thats what I thought, all talk no action. They did this to get some ideas out there to help people with thier problems in thier community. Why would I be bitter over Obamas win? I voted for him. This is exactly what he wants people to do, pool peoples good will and ideas to get things done. The only bitter person here is you.
08:17 PM on 01/28/2009
These cracks need to get over it. They let an unknown black man beat them - "the holy Clintons." I know it's hard to get over it...but cracks please get some help - crack is wack!

Hillary is many things but she is not inspiring.
12:31 AM on 01/29/2009
Tell that to the 18 million who voted for her. You people are full of fear and self loathing. Shows how tenuous a grab on power you have. Pity.

Umm.. Bitter much? Lest you forget, of those 18 million people that voted for Hillary, most of them were anti-Obama votes, not pro-Hillary votes coming from Republicans voting in open elections to create mischief, openly racist rednecks (polling and videos prove that beyond a shadow of a doubt) who couldn't conceive of a Black man as President and women of a certain age who wanted a woman as president so badly that they were willing to overlook Hillary's numerous lies, dirty kitchen sink tactics and glaring character flaws in order to see that happen.

This "NoLimits" crap is just PUMA, reheated with a dash of salt and pepper and served on a new dish. Screw them.

LOL. Wow- you have issues.I hope this is not too complicated for you to follow:

She is NOT inspiring. Some of her supporters happen to be close friends and thier support stemmed from their age and place in life. I learned that they were frustrated older feminists who had been passed over in their own professional lives ..they projected their "stuff" on Hillary and saw her as a vindication for womenhood. I could understand that generation but I couldn't relate to it; the reasons for voting for her was PERSONAL.Forget that the rest of the country is not made up of 50 and over white women wth a college education. There was no unifying inspirational message to Hillary's platform and though Hillary is no Palin they both shared a sense of entitlement as the "female" candidates. Not inspiring at all.
08:10 PM on 01/28/2009
Nolimits.org...yet another trojan horse of those fanatical P.U.M.A's...who will never rest until she's supplanted Obama as president.
06:53 PM on 01/28/2009
This is not about Hillary, it's about someone wanting to piggy back on Hillary's supporters and advance themselves. If they were so dedicated, then why didn't they help Hillary pay off her campaign debts.
06:42 PM on 01/28/2009
Boy you people have to get a life. I cant believe this is all you can do is relive the primaries by going onto a web site to blast Hillary and her supporters. Not all of them are pumas. Some of us actuly want to see the changes that she talked about take shape and help women get ahead. You guys just cant get it through your head that Obama did everything that Hillary said during the primaries and took most of the Clinton staff with him. Talk about sore losers.

The question asked by chicagoike: Why havent her supporters helped pay off her campaign debts?

Do bake sales, or car washes, or raffle off little kittens. to help Mrs. Clinton pay her campaign debts sounds like something useful to do.

Creating a web site to rehash the campaign, not so useful.
10:10 PM on 01/28/2009
Because her big donors were maxed out and Clinton began campaigning and raising money for OBAMA and the DOWN TICKET DEMOCRATS after the primaries. She paid her debt down to 3 million last time I checked. Snarking about HRC's debt when she has raised more for this party than anyone else in congress is unbecoming.
06:29 PM on 01/28/2009
Those 18 million, so called, votes are a made up number for both Clinton's legacy.
06:37 PM on 01/28/2009
What? It's not rocket science. She got 18 million votes. Not to mention, a low percentage of people actually vote in the primaries so her actual base is much larger.

I was once one of those 18 million voters, as were a lot of my friends, before switching my support to Obama during the primaries. I'll be utterly shocked if this new organization is even able to pull more than 10,000 members. Even the staunchest HRC supporters that I know, who despised Obama during the primaries and donated thousands of dollars to her campaign, are no longer carrying any torch for her candidacy or any pointless outgrowth of it. Like their candidate, they are fully onboard with Obama and see no point in the participating in these groups which attract, ultimately, those who wish to undermine the obvious progressive will of the Party, and those that will carry the Party forward.

Oh God, Kinda like www.sarahpac.com
Another candidate loser trying to milk it for what it's worth and with an agenda that is all about them.
Spare us... we have already been through enough with the Bush administration.

OK, here we go! Just when I became able to to hold down my lunch over Hillary's selection for Obama's SoS, she and her dead-end supporters and deluded Clintonistas are at it again! So when will the undermining and "going rogue" against Obama begin?

NO LIMITS on dishonesty, greed, mean-spiritedness, divisiveness, influence peddling, arrognance.

Is that really the name of Hillary's new presidential exploratory site? What a laugh.
06:06 PM on 01/28/2009
YOU ARE 100% CORRECT!!!!

(The C/int0n-h8ters have no limits on any of those).

How does it feel to be BFFs with the Freepers? Do you post pics of HRC's ankles there and giggle?
05:44 PM on 01/28/2009
Another example of why she LOST. Let's see... setting up a website for a group that can't do anything. She get website idea envy?

Here's a newsflash people:
There were no 18 millions cracks
There were no significant number of PUMA's
and
OBAMA is running thangs!

You don't go to the S.O.S. to get things done. THEY get their marching orders from the P.O.T.U.S.

Stop trying to make her Peter Principled promotion relevant.

She was delusional and ego-mad during the primaries. She hasn't changed. And I'm just waiting for the screw-up she or Bill are going to make that gets her FIRED.
06:33 PM on 01/28/2009
You can't wait for the S.O.S. to screw up?
ok Rush - Seems like you really embody that Obama spirit.
06:42 PM on 01/28/2009
No 18 million votes, eh? No PUMAS and the S.O.S serves tea? How conveniently it all fits. There was no holocaust either I suppose... and where is that COLB anyway?
