I Like ItI Don’t Like It

Dear Mr. President:

What a joy and relief it is to be able to salute you as President Obama. Congratulations on a magnificently run campaign. Your discipline, vision, strength and courage will take America and the world a long way. Now that we have made it through the courtship of the primary season, the engagement party in Grant Park on November 4th, and the wedding on January 20th, we're entering into marriage--the final stage, one that is full of challenges.

It's high noon in our politics, where hope abounds. But it is midnight in our economics. But we have hope that the darkness will lead to a new light that will shine even brighter. We are in a time of the worst economic crisis of the last half century, and amid expanding wars and conflicts in Iraq, the Middle East and Africa. The two great themes of ending poverty at home and unnecessary wars abroad must dominate our priorities.

Poor Jesse, he was supposed to be President!

Just a little envious, it seems.

Rev. Jackson,
President Obama needs alot of help, however I don't think at this juncture yours is required, especially since you want to hurt him physically. Please... go help your son, keep juniors hope alive. Leave this President alone, you shared your 'true feelings' months ago.

Nice try, Jesse. Why do we as Blacks always have to try and tear each other down??? You hit the bottom rung of the ladder with me when you made those lewd, disrespectful comments about our president. Did you think they were funny? Well, we didn't! Shame on you - now go away!

So, it's too little too late. Rev. Jackson, I expected better from you. You more than anybody knew the delicate dance President Obama had to do on the campaign trail not to scare some white people...

And because Mr. Obama didn't play by your play book you made those comments....shame on you letter or no letter.
