Good gawd.
This woman is a bonafide, walking, fashion DISASTER. Not to mention, um, Michelle? Get your hair done!

Also, when is she going to go to finishing school and learn how to walk and stand?

You'd think she was an Irish farmer standing and walking across a bog.

I don't care for the shoes however, I think the coat and the dress look fab. Everyone is in dark colors and here comes our first lady popping with color. Love it!!!

The coat and dress are great. Together with the shoes, the hair, and the gracelessness, DISASTER.

What's wrong with her hair? Elaborate on her being gracless because I don't see it.

Why do you need a role model?

Georgia Brown's is SO good. Best iced tea and fried chicken you have EVER...

I think that Michele has excellent taste in clothing for herself and the girls. she not one of these women who has to spend alot in order to look good. she's naturally beautiful and she wears what suits her and not others. I thank that we all need to look at our First Lady as a person we would like to model ourselves after.

Wise and strong.

I like that she favors bright colors. It is a sign of confidence and strength of personal identity. Even cheerfulness. She feels no need to blend into the background in black, grey or neutral tones. Good for her.

Um, her Inaugural dress cost $1500.

And again, why would you want/need to model yourself after anyone?

I read all these posts about how great Michelle Obama looks and what a wonderful sense of style she has....yada yada yada. So where are all the green shoes I'm expecting to see or orange and pink combinations (Shasa's inaugural outfit) or blue and green ones like Michelle's outfit for the luncheon -- since after all imitation is the highest form of flattery? So....where are the imitators? The fact is, nowhere because nobody wants to look the fool. And the honest truth is somebody needs to give Michelle some fashion help because everybody can see what she really looks like. Sadly, she has the potential of looking really chic if only somebody would step up to the plate and just be honest about her choices. She is on the world stage now, yet I see better dressed women in this dull southern town I'm stuck living in presently.

No matter what Michelle Obama wears, her beauty shines through.

She is fortunate enough to be a very good looking woman -- and tall.

Her colouring allows her to switch between warm jewel tones and cool vivid tones. The pale lemon grass yellow of her inauguration dress and coat wasn't the best colour for her. It drained her colouring, but it did make her stand out in the crowd.

Her inauguration gown really looked beautiful, but I don't think she had a fitting. It was too long and very awkward for her to manage. I personally would have liked to see her in something a little more sophisticated -- but her style is more casual and down to earth.

"dull southern town I'm stuck living in presently."

You answered your own question. Sucks don't it.

Her shoes are not green, they are blue/green (you don't know that color?) which matches her coat and dress. She is looks just lovely in that outfit.

They look like the same green shoes she wore at the inauguration.

Michelle Obama got where she is today on her intellect... she's not some airhead, who thinks a wardrobe equals substance. She could care less what people think!
03:24 PM on 01/31/2009
blasphemy i know, but doesn't that blue color and the cut of the coat make michelle look a good 10-15 lbs heavier than she is? it's a bit matronly - i think she's got a powerful, athletic figure and her skin color is very dynamic and should look good with lots of colors --- she doesn't have to try to look like the queen mother, does she? at least not yet...

You're just use to seeing women who look like little boys. Should she walk around naked so that you can inspect her body.
06:32 PM on 01/31/2009
no....i think you are due to get your eyes checked.

Class? OMG
07:07 PM on 02/20/2009
I don't think, based on your comments, that anyone is going to give you much credit as an arbiter of class, michaeleen.

Jill is by far the best looking of both 1st and 2nd ladies since Jackie.

why make it a competition? And if that wasn't bad enough, you say it like its fact. I personally don't see anything all that special about Jill's looks, but I like her and Joe as great human beings. She was very helpful during the campaign, and seems to adore Michelle.

Now you know you're lying. First lady Michelle is gorgeous and super sexy. Everytime she walks the men can't help but look. Pres Obama is hot. They are a hot, sexy couple. And you can't help but thinking about them. Now that's the truth. Lol!

That's like comparing vanilla ice cream to chocolate ice cream (no pun intended) - everyone has their preference but it doesn't make one or the other better or worse. Perhaps we can let these comparison issues just die, huh???
