Obama

President Obama graces the March cover of Vanity Fair and is featured inside the magazine in a portfolio called "Enter Obama," shot by Annie Leibovitz on Inauguration Day in Washington.

There are also photos inside of his team and a portrait of Caroline and Ted Kennedy, seen below.

Read about Annie Leibovitz's shoot.

See the portfolio of Obama's team:

As America thrilled to the inauguration of its 44th president and a new First Lady, the West Wing was filling with a kaleidoscopic army of policy aces, whiz kids, and veteran advisers, all focused on the long-haul, no-drama work to which Barack has called them.

Vanity is the perfect background for this narcissis. But he still isnt attractive.......not even a little.

If you feel that you simply must accuse the President of suffering from a personality disorder, at least try to spell it correctly.

And furthermore, nobody gives a flying Wallenda about whom you consider to be attractive......even a little.

Your president cant speak, has no experience, and has a very pathetic past and your worried about my typing at 11pm.
typical of the type who like him
Obviously you care, or you wouldnt have wasted time responding.

by the way, he's doing a great job so far, LOL

Ooooops! Talk about a Photoshop emergency: Tom Daschle let Vanity Fair take his photo just a tad too soon!

I LOVE this cover pic!

It is photoshopped, it's actually an old cover they recycled. Don Cheadle was in the photo, and it was a totally different saturation before.

One person said in the Huffington Post "We've been screwed". No, dear join the club. Blacks have been screwed repeatedly but, we still go on. Upset because you cannot make it in this economy imagine all we have suffered and still are sujected to racism and abuse.

People want to use the term Middle East to avoid saying the Continent of Africa. Oh, but when you stir the pot you see what boils over-all the guts of the matter. So, if you made the bed lie in it. You want the oil, the diamonds, the raw materials and even the tusk from gentle beast -you rape the land and take those less and make slaves and continue to use those of less your household 'laborers'. But, God knows "you reap what you sow". Screwed? No, screwed is treating people less than Human and stirring up whatever you can and hiding your hand. Screwed is forever being Pontius Pilate.

Mud huts will seem like mansions one day. When the elements fall and the fire come up from the friction of no oil to rotate the earth and the sea swallows the land. Africa has lost its kings and Queens and heritage to the slaughter but, the children will rise up from the ashes to sit and have you that make jokes of them-their footstools.

Africa-(Isreal, Eygpt, Jordan, Sudan,Iran, etc.): Asia the lands of wealth weep no more. The last shall be first.

It looks like someone photoshopped his head on another body.

The one of the Kennedy's is great!

Actually good or bad I am tired of seeing his face. Its getting really boring.

YOU AND ME BOTH - - I AM SICK OF SEEING HIS FLOPPY EARS ON EVERY COVER OF JUST ABOUT EVERY MAGAZINE AT ANY STORE YOU VISIT. AND THAT GOES FOR MICHELLE TOO - THERE IS NOTHING BEAUTIFUL ABOUT THESE PEOPLE - THEY ARE PLAIN AND ORDINARY - GET OVER THE GREATNESS WILL YOU - I HAVE NOT SEEN ANY GREAT ANYTHING YET EXCEPT MORE WASTEFUL SPENDING OF OUR HARD EARNED TAX DOLLARS.
06:16 PM on 02/03/2009
ordinary people who have reached a level of greatness. You are an angry bitter soul.

Stop Shouting - very rude.. you must have voted for McPalin - and you are soooo wrong! The Obama family is one of the most handsome in the history of the White House. Let me guess, you're from Georgia, right?

Vanity Fair uses this photographer a lot. I think they need to find someone more creative. The shots are dull.
05:13 PM on 02/03/2009
Annie Leibovitz is the staff photographer for Vanity Fair. It's her job to do the photo shoots for every issue.
09:16 AM on 02/03/2009
I don't think this is a particularly good picture of Obama - either Annie or the Vanity Fair editors need some new glasses. In last month's issue Annie managed to make Cate Blanchett really unattractive in every picture.

I love Cate Blanchett, but she isn't really very attractive. Why does everyone have to fit this beauty profile?

Vanity Fair ran the same cover photo back in 2007:

http://www.observer.com/2009/media/so-much-change-vanity-fair-uses-2007-obama-cover-march-2009-issue

It's a good one. I can understand the temptation to reuse it.

I would like to point out the massive onslaught of Camelot-mania when Kennedy was elected.
His face and the family photos and news footage. It was much more in style to have all of the Kennedy Life magazine covers and mags. Time, Look Newsweek, Post, Readers Digest. Hell Readers Digest had very few pictures in it at that time except the Kennedy family, top to bottom.
It may turn out that way for the Obama family, even the kids are good photo ops.
