"The View" Producer "Obsessed" With Heidi And Spencer

Executive producer of "The View" Bill Geddie is "obsessed" with MTV reality couple Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt.

In Monday's LA Times, in an article about the daytime chatfest coming to the Disney lot in Burbank for a week, Geddie talked about the show's guest bookings:

"I had a publicist come up to me the other day and say, 'You know, I have all these clients, all these stars I can't get on your show. What is going on?' And I said, 'I wouldn't have predicted a year ago that I would clear the boards to put Condoleezza Rice on.' It just wouldn't have occurred to me. But people want to see her."

So is "The View" getting all wonky on us? Well, not exactly. Also on the Burbank guest list are featherweight reality stars Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt.

"This is my personal obsession," Geddie said. "I can't get enough Heidi and Spencer. I must tell you, the women are not exactly in my court on this. I hear: 'Why are you booking them again?' And I say, 'There's something about them that sort of encapsulates the age we live in.' "

The week out west begins March 9.

I'm looking for a story on today's show (The View) to comment on, because there was some interesting segments, especially with the guest who came on to promote his "Media Malpractice" project (more sour grapes).

I can answer the first question easily. He likes them because they are right wing loons like himself. The other question is beyond my comprehension.

OMG, they are like only the hottest reality bad girl/boy couple....­Like they are on the Hills which is a half real reality show on MTV and you are no one if you are not like obsessed with it. Consider yourself like schooled. =)

The viewers and hosts are more interested in the former Secretary of State, Condoleeza Rice.
