Joe Scarborough Book, "The Last Best Hope," To Be Published In May

NEW YORK — Cable television isn't enough for MSNBC's Joe Scarborough. He has a book coming out in May.

Publisher Crown Forum, an imprint of Random House Inc., says the title is "The Last Best Hope: Restoring Conservatism and America's Promise."

Crown Forum says the book will issue a challenge to Scarborough's own Republican Party to either reform or die.

The publisher said in a statement Tuesday: "The book will offer a searing indictment of the Republican leaders who destroyed their party and crippled our country, while offering a clear path of recovery to conservatives who are ready to take their country back."

Scarborough hosts MSNBC's popular "Morning Joe" news-talk program.

I have written letters and will continue to do so. Morning Joe is just a series of mostly disinformation, half truths and just plain BS. Joe couldn't lead a thirsty dying man to a water hole 2 feet away. Further he is a verbal bully, who thinks because he talks louder it's a sign of great intellect instead of the sign of the loud mouth he is.

I will continue writing it's a terrible show.

He will get a "pac" group to buy up many printings of the book so it automatially goes to #1...that's what O'reilly and all the other do to rev up their books.

I wonder if the 'suits' at MSNBC read our comments. I don't think so because if they did, they would remove Scarborough from this show, rename it and put someone on with Mika that could and would have intelligent, thoughtful, and meaningful discussions. My personal choice would be Lawrence O'Donnell....he is a no nonsense, intelligent, knowledgeable pundit...I truly wish Joe would go, he was awful on Scarborough Country and even worse on this show. My very negative perception of him has become my reality, I believe he is a secret, in the closet ,member of the Limbaugh, Hannity, Coulter, Buchanan, Ingram, Cunningham, O'Reilly, etc. club. On a daily basis he sounds just like them....in this case, birds of a feather flock together...why in the world would anyone buy his book!!!!

I watched Miki on 1600 this afternoon and she performed like the professional journalist that she is...I didn't hear one WOW, HMMMM, giggles, no reference to mommie, drugs or vodka, rolling of the eyes, etc. She did a great job, it is so interesting to watch her go from the morning show to afternoon shows, she is so different. Foolish 'dumb blond' behavior for the "Morning Show"must be written into her contract. I sometimes get the impression that female guest really feel sorry for her and try very hard to support her position when Joe allows her to finish a sentence.

Yea for Lawrence O'Donnell! I like him too, especially on Morning Joe. He always seems calm and sensible and really adds balance to that show. I would like to see more of his commentary. Though I am not a Republican, I also like Pat Buchanan's commentary. I agree that Joe Scarbrough seems to be more interested in showing that he knows more than anyone else than actually making meaningful comments.

Who in what is called "news shows" don't have a book they're always "pimpin"! It seems as with every introduction to any guest they - especially Morning Joe - blabber about what a great book they just wrote. Most times they will even bring the book with them for a camera shot. I guess those of us that still look in on Morning Joe are going to have to fasten their seat belt from all the bloviating that is sure to come with Joe's book"! Personally I'll pass as I get enough of his - "I'm so great and the smartest politician ever"!

Good! When does he go on his Book Tour so we can have a break from him in the morning. Last week when he was GONE, the show was very good. This week - awful again. Joe, just GO!! Can't they rename the show Mika in the Morning. I'm sick to death of this loud mouth.
