LOS ANGELES — There's still sex to be had in the city, even though Carrie Bradshaw has settled down with one man.

New Line Cinema spokeswoman Candice McDonough confirms that "Sex and the City" star Sarah Jessica Parker, her three co-stars and writer-director Michael Patrick King are signed for a sequel to last year's hit movie.

The film will reunite Parker and gal pals Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon.

In a statement, King says: "I'm very excited to work with these amazing actresses again and would love to give everyone more information about the sequel ... but I'm busy with my `Sex' life."

New Line parent Warner Bros. plans to have the sequel out in summer 2010.

For all those negative comments, there are a sea of positive ones, otherwise there'd be no sequel. If you don't like it, don't watch.

The most disturbing thing about the movie was seeing Carrie turning down a millionaire and a million-dollar-apartment with a Central Park view because he was running five minutes late for the wedding.

For an apartment like that I would marry Siegfried AND Roy

$250 million worldwide theatrical gross, not to mention DVD, pay-per-vew, cable & tv rights, probably brings the total to at least $400 million. you do the math!

I'm glad they are making a sequel because the first movie was too depressing. The whole story line for Samantha was depressing and out of character. Miranda was acting like such a bitchy, cold shrew to Steve and not telling Carrie what she said to Big was dumb.Carrie did not even confront Big. At least Charlotte was happy and Jennifer Hudson was great. So bring on the sequel.

In the sequel they all get Hepatitis C and Carrie's wart turns out to be a malignant melanoma.

Then they all lose their apartments and must have those chats at the soup kitchen.

There ought to be a law: If the first run movie flops, you are barred from making a sequel unless it's released for free.

The series was fine, but these sequels are really a mistake - this is beginning to look like "The Golden Girls".

Are they really so limited as actresses that they only have this one role they can play?

They were all very attractive women on the show. 10 years ago! I was looking forward to seeing the movie, but it was awful. It was all about Carrie. And she just became so shallow. But I'm with Banned Bunny, I wanted her to stay with Aidan. Why would you stay with the man who always hurt you. Aidan was sexy, kind and understanding. They should have atleast brought him back to make it a little more exciting. They could have written a much better script. They are cool characters, but I did not like the way they evolved. Especially Samantha. It's not very believable when she act like she is just raging with hormones at her age. And the clothes was awful. New Yorkers don't wear bright colors. They looked like clowns.

Well, I think they are all still pretty!, but I AGREE about Aidan. He was a dream boyfriend. Remember when he took her to the wonderful little cabin in the woods and she hated it? On second thought, maybe it's better she ended up with big.

As a woman, this whole SATC phenomenon disturbs me. If a woman's life revolves around getting a man and overpriced duds, then she is no prize. And if a woman runs to the TV and the movie theatre to vicariously experience such behavior . . . ugh. That's not Living.

Get over yourself. Watch it or don't watch it. No show on TV or movie is for everyone. Star Wars loves weird me out but I see no need to make fun of them. The world is falling apart and it is just the escape that I need. All SATC fans know it is all make believe. SATC is just plain old fun and fabulousity and I love it.
