Meg Whitman will announce on Monday that she intends to run for governor of California. The announcement will be made on her web site.

Deborah Perry Piscione, CEO of BettyConfidential.com, talked with Whitman over the weekend about her plans. "She realizes her greatest strength is her knowledge of the economy and her strong business background," Piscione said. "She is very realistic and down-to-earth. She wants to help in practical ways to solve the problems real people are having right now."

Meg was recently interviewed on a show I was watching in regards as to why she left eBay. Pretty funny how she is now going for Governor. Here was the YouTube link to the interview. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jePZf_9GYiQ

I live in California and I love my state. I love it so much that I had enough sense not to vote for our current govenor. I will retain that line of thinking when I vote against Ebay lady. Leave Californians alone Meg, we've done nothing to you. We deserve much better.

A simple explanation why it is so very important you support this bill NOW...

Running business and running a state are two different things. When you are a governor, you are a public servant, not a CEO who gets millions of dollars even when your company is doing really badly.

No more "businessmen" please. Our MBA president ran the country right into the ground. One decade of suffering is enough for this voter.

Right, another Republican party member with no experience in government, just experience running a monopoly, who is going to be an effective governor. I can see a push for getting rid of the capital gains taxes for the wealthy and instead increasing sales taxes on the workers. But, like Bloomberg, Meg can afford to finance her own campaign. Hopefully this will be another failed attempt to buy an election as with Mitt Romney's failed presidential bid.

I hope she wins the nomination. It would almost ensure a Democratic victory -regardless of who the Dem nominee is.

Just what California needs, a governor whose entire pre-eBay career was spent exploiting underpaid and often underage foreign workers.
