guardian.co.uk:

Lieutenant-Colonel Yvonne Bradley, an American military lawyer, will step through the grand entrance of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in London tomorrow and demand the release of her client - a British resident who claims he was repeatedly tortured at the behest of US intelligence officials - from Guantanamo Bay. Bradley will also request the disclosure of 42 secret documents that allegedly chronicle not only how Binyam Mohamed was tortured, but may also corroborate claims that Britain was complicit in his treatment.

DISSENTING JUSTICE
Just As I Predicted: Obama Administration Invokes State Secrets Privilege in Anti-Torture Lawsuit
Posted: 09 Feb 2009 03:57 PM CST
At a court hearing held today, the Obama administration maintained the Bush policy of asserting a broad "state secrets" privilege to shield from disclosure information related to the CIA's rendition program. Human rights activists have long maintained that Bush utilized the program to "outsource" torture.

We need to send a team under control of the UN in there right now, to ensure no one else dies or is tortured. If evidence exists, they should be tried with all due process,if convicted, they should be punished. If not enough evidence exists, they should be freed. If they can't return to any other nation, then they should be given a green card. We took em, now we own them! If not enough evidence exists to convict them, we should pay them $20,000,000 each for what we've done, apologize officially, and hope they don't become terrorists! We should pay them reperations for what they've gone through. I am a US military retired veteran, but If I was treated this way by my own or any other government, I would fight the rest of my life against whatever government treated me this way!

Gitmo is like Club Med. Most U.S. prisoners would love to be there. The best food, the best treatment, and the most time outside in good weather. What's not to like. Timely executions would have solved most of the problems.
