CPAC: Sarah Palin Pulls Out

Via Think Progress comes the news that this years Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) will not feature an appearance from vice presidential candidate and would-be Republican Party standard-bearer Sarah Palin. CPAC officials have been told that Palin's whole being-the-governor-of-Alaska thing will preclude her attendance:

"We're obviously disappointed," said a CPAC official. A spokesman for the three-day confab, organized by the American Conservative Union Foundation and others, said that Palin, the popular former vice presidential nominee, had indicated she would be able to attend but cited "duties of governing" in bowing out.

Palin will send along a "taped message" for CPAC attendees to enjoy. Meanwhile, the responsibility of issuing vapid complaints about the media shall fall to every other CPAC attendee.

I have 2 questions...well, 3:

Why did Sarah lie about the RNC having to send a lawyer to Alaska to retrieve clothes and such? (She only came clean after he dad spilled the beans.)

Why did the RNC have to send someone anyway?

Why would you trust a l i a r and a t h i e f like Palin to run a lemonade stand, let alone a state?

I for one am disappointed that we will not have more Palindromes to laugh about while she is back governing the thing in alaska . Obama may end up being a great president, but funny? not so much.

Now we won't have to watch constant step by step Sarah Palin watch when this CPAC happens. I'm so sick of hearing about her every move on TV. I wish she would just go away from the public eye forever.

Well I'll be darned. As an Alaska resident, I must say that many of us are wondering how Queen Sarah finds time to govern what with all the Alfalfa Club dinners and PAC launching and what not. So it's good to know she has a ranking system of some sort, and doing her job as governor is not the lowest thing on it.

I don't think she is really worried about doing her job, does she ever really do it? With her communication skills and understanding of the issues, I would say it is more likely that she announces the decisions that others make for her. She is just a spokeswomen, a figure head. She delivers the lines, she is not a real leader. And anyway, didn't her attorney general just resign? She is feeling the heat.
