Sarah Palin Movie: Hollywood Screenwriters Interested

Two prominent screenwriters are game to turn Alaska Governor Sarah Palin's rise to fame in a movie. "I'm always down for politics as humor. I'm also interested in great characters," Dustin Lance Black told Variety.

His competition, Thomas McCarthy, would focus on Bristol Palin's future husband, Levi Johnston. "This young man gets his girlfriend pregnant and ends up on the Republican platform at the National Convention," McCarthy said. "This 17-year-old kid from Alaska standing on the stage -- there's a dark comedy in there somewhere. He was like a deer in headlights."

Black countered that the two could be combined. "Levi Johnston would be the B story," he said. "It would be like dueling narratives."

Both writers were nominated for Writer's Guild of America awards in 2009 -- Black for "Milk," McCarthy for "The Visitor."

How would they get her to tell the truth about anything -- it would be entertaining to hear how she planned her false Trig pregnancy cover-up, how she plans to finally introduce her fake grandson Tripp to the world, her own rush to the altar, the scoop on her alleged affair, what she really thinks about the Johnston family, the truth about Track;s need to join the army so quickly and why she places so little value for educating her family. Otherwise it will be a bunch of garbage. There should be a caveat - if a movie is done about Sarah she will agree to stop playing politics.

WOW ! You're still sinking your teeth into the false Trig rumour. How is the grandson "fake" merely because he has not been put on "display" for potential attacks. That is probably Bristol's call and a good one at that. Who cares what she thinks of the Johnstons.­..on paper they don't look too good ( although Levi is very handsome !). I agree with you on the educational fall out...but I think that is an Alaskan problem and not unique to the Palin's or Johnstons. And, I agree Track had added incentive to join the army..a lot of boys & girls do...n'yuk­, n'yuk, n' yuk!
