Sarah Palin Gets Note From Bill Ayers Suggesting "Pallin' Around With Sarah And Bill" Talk Show

I Like ItI Don’t Like It

Sarah Palin once accused Barack Obama of "palling around with terrorists," a catchphrase intended to highlight Obama's connection to former Weather Underground member Bill Ayers.

Now that the campaign rhetoric has subsided, Ayers has an idea for a new show starring his Alaskan nemesis.

"I did send her a note after the election," he says of Palin in the upcoming issue of the New York Times magazine. "I suggested that we have a talk show together called 'Pallin' Around With Sarah and Bill.' I haven't heard back."

Ayers assiduously avoided interviews and press attention during the presidential race, but he insists the Obama campaign never told him to keep quiet.

"They apparently didn't want to call me, and I certainly wouldn't have initiated it," he says.

According to Ayers, Obama's election was "a strike against white supremacy." But, he says, his victory doesn't change the fact that "40 percent of black kids under 5 live in poverty."

He also says that while he considers himself a radical, he believes Obama is "a moderate Democrat."

"If you look at his record, it's the record of a moderate, who indeed does know how to make compromises," Ayers told the magazine.

To Mr. Ayers, Welcome home from the Antiwar. Too few people stood up to the immoral Viet Nam War.

IT was the MAJORITY of the American people who stood against the Vietnam war which is why Nixon was forced to end it. It took hard work, many demonstrations, education, talking to people, to bring that about. Ayers was on the OTHER SIDE. Read OUT NOW by Fred Halstead if you want to know how that came about.

Bill Ayers was, sad to say, a 20th-century American Revolutionary, fighting for principles, which had been sh|tcanned by the Johnson/Nixon administrations for the more lucrative adventures of war. War breeds heroes as much as it does villans. For example Oskar Schindler (movie; Schindler's List) was a hero for his courageous resistance to the Nazis. Those born after 1955 can hardly be expected to understand what motivated people like Ayers. Read "Flashback" by Penny Coleman for some insights into what was happening. My best friend in life's widow is in this book and I know how powerfully Coleman supports her efforts to honor veterans, who have PTSD.

Is Palin breaking Federal Laws by falsifying Federal Application for her state? Looks that way.

2/11/09: Alaska Press secretary Sharon Leighow said,"Palin seek creative approaches to finding a statutorily acceptable way to justify a disaster declaration, which would open the door to federal aid"

Wow, is "creative approaches" code word for: dishonest, fudging of facts (aka) falsifying federal forms to get federal handout.

Of the Alaskans' freezing & starving (gas $9.00/gal & milk $10.00/gal) Leighow went on to say that Palin is NOT going to visit the families suffering but, "Palin is sending her new rural advisor, John Moller, to the area next week."

Palin said the residents should be fine because she authorized $1,200.00 rebate last year to them.

Residents told CNN "the $1,200.00 rebate barely helps them with one month's heating costs." 2/4/09:

Rep Jay Ramras (R) said, "We have Alaskans in a rural area in need of our assistance and have been able to amass needed food but have no way to deliver it to communities," Ramras said. "I am saddened that Governor Palin has created a vacuum of leadership by not making state transportation assets available. Many of the cash donations raised will be needed for transportation instead of being used to purchase necessities for these communities. That is a shame."

It's a shame a woman who could have been a heart beat away from the president has decided to FALSIFY FEDERAL APPLICATIONS - Federal Felony.

Palin is doing the political Christian Right-Wing thing by not forgiving anyone who has sinned.

Also, we will never see Sarah in an intellectual debate or talk show with anyone regardless of political party. She's a sound bite and stump speech with notes type of gal.

Robert McNamara, one of the chief architects of the Vietnam war stated in his book, "In Retrospect:"
Quote--
"We misjudged ... the geopolitical intentions of our adversaries ..., and we exaggerated the dangers to the United States of their actions";

"We totally misjudged the political forces within [South Vietnam]";

"We failed as well to adapt our military tactics to the task of winning the hearts and minds of people from a totally different culture"; and finally, "Underlying many of our errors lay our failure to organize the top echelons of the executive branch to deal effectively with the extraordinarily complex range of political and military issues Unquote

This was a war with the draft and tens of thousands of deaths to American troops.
Had there been a draft from the start of the Iraq "war" the nation would have seen many
Bill Ayers-types, because the Bush administration protracted that war with less scruples
and more carelessness, by far than Johnson/Nixon did in Vietnam

If you do your research the Alaskan AIP today has very deep roots and much financing in Texas. This is not just an Alaskan issue. Many very wealthy Texas oil men support this group politically, monetarily and are very active members. This is a dangerous far right winged group to be aware of.

New Rule-

If you live in Alaska you are a socialist. Citizens are given checks from oil company profits. I am sick and tired of hearing Alaska's citizens cry socialism about Obama when they share in oil wealth profits simply because they live in Alaska.

Shenanegans!

Bill Ayers did NOTHING to Viet Vets except try to get their butts back to the US where they belonged instead of killing Vietnamese and destroying their country.

Bill Ayers DID screw up both a mass antiwar movement and SDS. He was, and appears to remain, a self centered, immature anarchist. His rhetoric was inflammatory and his "strategy" was puerile. Please, HuffPo, can we not hear about this character again ? Perhaps in a trade for no more Joe the Plumber stories ?
