GOP Officials Circulate "Completely Fabricated" Pelosi Attack

Is there really $30 million in the new stimulus package devoted to saving the salt marsh mouse in Nancy Pelosi's district?

That's what some conservatives are now charging, and the claim seems to be gaining some traction with elected GOP officials and conservative media outlets, who are using it to argue that the bill is stuffed with Dem pork.

But there isn't any such money in the bill. And Pelosi's office is saying that the claim is a "total fabrication."

Step 2: Distort

Ignore the schools and libraries, focus on public housing because that clearly means lazy poor people. What does "refurbish" really mean? Well, new drapes would liven up any living room...

Step 3: Regurgitate

"Listen to this... the dems in congress... I don't make this stuff up folks... but the dems in congress want to spend $150 million dollars buying drapes for welfare moms. Drapes! Your hard earned tax dollars..."
