BACKTRACK! "Grey's" Creator Denies Heigl & Knight Are Leaving

Grey's Anatomy creator Shonda Rhimes wants to set the record straight: T.R. Knight and Katherine Heigl are not leaving the show.

"That was a very interesting rumor," Rhimes said Thursday night at the 40th NAACP Image Awards in Los Angeles. "And it's not true."

Rhimes was referring to a recent comment in the press attributed to Grey's castmember James Pickens Jr., in which he was said to be confirming the departure of Heigl and Knight.

I'm still hanging in and watching because it used to be such a good show. Some shows occasionally still have good writing, but it's really hit and miss (mostly miss). Izzy's got to go. George doesn't bother me as much, but he hasn't had much of a role for a long time.

But they are really pushing it by trying to tie Greys with Private Practice. Private Practice is a terrible show, with uninteresting characters, and bad acting... I don't want to be coerced into watching it!!! They have to stop with the tie ins.

The show went south as soon as Isaiah Washington was forced off the set, all because he offended then apologized to that little nobody TR Knight; and that is when I stopped watching. TR is a weak actor and portrays an even weaker doctor who supposedly gets all the women. LOL. As for Shonda, ABC is running her show not her; she has pretend control. These stupid, inane plot lines; the show is being taken over by the weakest links: TR and that one note pony Katherine. Never heard of either one before Greys' but I certainly heard of Isaiah before. The show is horrible and perhaps could survive if those two leave; only then will I watch again.

Well, then. I proclaim this the saddest day in TV history. Had it been true, it would have been a small victory, a tiny step forward for People in Favor of TV Shows that Don't Suck.

This show has gotten so bad the best thing that could happen to it is to have everyone leave. Meredith and her angst are so tiresome, I refuse to watch. She has gotten entirely too pathetic and I'm not sure what group of ambulatory breathing adults still find her interesting. How about this: kill off everyone except the Dr.'s McDreamy and McSteamy (minus the ridiculous Lexie storyline), Bailey, and the Chief and Adele, and merge the show with Private Practice. The whole would then be greater than the sum of it's parts. Private Practice is pretty dull on it's own but Derek and Dr. Montgomery have the potential for some fairly good chemistry. At least for a season or two.

I was hoping they both would leave and the show moved forward. I would have returned to watching it. The deer and george/izzy stuff drove me away.

Shonda Rhimes is a mess. She can't run a show and anything she says carries no credibilty. Grey's Anatomy is a sinking ship and im sure most of the actors are just collecting checks at this point

Just so you know, they denied the same thing about one of the interns that just got the boot? MMMM If I was an actor and getting crappy scripts like Heigl and Knight I would leave too! come now writers!

I started watching Grey's because my daughter liked the show so much, and the Izzy character so much that she would have named my grandchild Isabel if he'd been a girl...dodged that bullet, he's a Jr. But anyway, I liked Izzy, too...until last year. I quit watching, it's just too depressing now.

Lol Grey's can't even beat CSI after the main character leaves... in the end, Grey's is terrible with, or without team Hiegel/TR.
