Mickey Rourke shot down allegations reported by a UK paper that he has been secretly seeing Courtney Love for the past several weeks.

A cameraman caught up with Rourke in New York and asked the Oscar nominee, "Is it true you [sic] going out with Courtney Love?"
Rourke responded, "I'd rather be on a deserted island with a gorilla."

Trust me. He's seeing Courtney Love. Trust me. He said that to throw the papps off. Plus, he already said that his publicist tells him who to "screw" (sorry) (see the BAFTA widely viewed winning speech) and he's probably got Courtney back in the hotel. She's 44, just the right age for him. He's not going with a youngster. He's going with a wild thing.
After hearing that though, wouldn't Courtney be mad? If they were doing this just to throw off the papps off then he could have just said "No, I am not dating her".
I have trouble figuring out which one is which.
I am so not impressed with actors. The celebrity culture is a complete and utter waste of time.

There's a bunch of know-nothings commenting here. Forget what you've read about Mickey Rourke or what he says to some paparazi - go see "The Wrestler" - its probably the greatest film performance in the last 30 years. If you have a soul you'll be moved to tears.
It will help if you enjoy ham acting.
I wondered through the whole thing why he couldn't get a semi-respectable part-time job suitable for a washed up celebrity, like Bartending or Bouncing.... He could have made decent money and have been a local hero if he had tended bars where his fans could give him big tips....

I agree. It's rumored that he text messaged her for a date and they must have gone out. She was with him at that London event. I think he said that to throw off the papps.
How disappointing. They sounded like a perfect couple.
For someone who wants to make a comeback he is being pretty rude most of the time. I do not care if you like Courtney Love or not, rude comments are not something that a gentleman would do. I do like his acting, but he is a jerk.
