Not one but two models toppled over during Herve Leger by Max Azria's Fall 2009 fashion show in New York on Sunday.

The show, held at Bryant Park, featured models in fitted dresses and strappy platform high heels.

Below, frame by frame, are the Getty images captured as the models went down. According to the captions provided by Getty, they were unhurt.

Another sadistic misogynous fashion show. Watch starving women fall on the runway because they can't walk in their contorted costumes.

They should just dress corpses and roll them down the runway. At least then nobody would get hurt.

hmmm all crotch shots, as if nobody from any other angle had a camera.

From The Judgment Of Paris forum:
Without the support of a huge network of sycophantic fashion writers, cynical designers, powerful magazines and media outlets that have great interest in its promotion, the glorified straight-sized "nothing" standard (size 0--how apt!) would have disappeared a long time ago. Who would ever have considered a "sticklet" runway model attractive, let alone an aesthetic paragon, were it not for Vogue magazine and its ilk?

But by maintaining complete control over the aesthetic discourse of femininity in our society, the modernist fashion establishment maintains an unassailable hegemony over the notion of beauty. There is simply no alternative--or rather, "alternative" is all that is offered, while "normal" is never seen, due a complete suppression of natural, full-figured femininity. And any time an aesthetic challenge emerges, the media engages in a backlash that verges on outright hysteria; but the public never realizes this, because the media is a closed loop, and cannot be viewed from the "outside."

We must, as a society, become our own editors. We must be willing to identify prejudice masquerading as "objective" reporting (let alone advertising). We must learn to recognize it, and reject it--edit it out of our minds--and then, and only then, will natural beauty be able to flow back into our hearts, and ennoble our culture once more.

The shoes (almost like them) are one of the new Victorias secret catalogs...i triple dog dare anyone (men too) to see if they can be walked in? I love heels but these are not shoes/heels they are suicide bombs. The girls are skinny THAT cannot be denied but THAT is what the rest of the world accepts as fashionable. I was once that skinny (graves disease) and wow I got hell from everyone. I got to give it to these young ladies...they fell with such grace!!! If it would be me I would be all sprawled out looking like I was hit by a tornado.

I think I can speak for a majority here when I say this is unacceptable as fashionable. This type of stereotypical underweight model is being foisted on the public in an assault against feminine beauty. If you look at the hundreds of comments here, you will notice a strong reaction to her thinness.

Here is a link to a forum on "plus-size" fashion: http://www.judgmentofparis.com/board/forumdisplay.php?f=14

Bear in mind that for the fashion industry, "plus-size" includes women of normal weight. Please feel free to look around not only the forum, but the entire site as well. I am not affiliated with the site, but I love what it says.

So I guess it would be inappropriate to use as a pick up line "so what color panties are you wearing" since I already know!

Seems like this kind of accident happens all too often on the catwalk. Check this video out, the same model falls twice, and the news anchor laughs hard, maybe even too hard:

Pretty people: ugly manners. One of the sunglass-sporting fashion sycophants lining the runway should have offered her a hand.

I see London. I see France. I see the models' underpants! What absolutely dangerous shoes to be walking in! No wonder they fell!!!

She looks like she's been in Auschwitz. They are dropping due to malnutrition.

even if she's normal weight...she isn't very pretty. I'm tired of seeing these people like that in runways. Very slavic and 'pointy'. Kind of like the yachting industry.

Good heavens...perhaps it isn't the shoes. Could it be that she nearly blacked out from malnutrition?
