"Flight Of The Conchords": There's Too Many Dicks On The Dance Floor

Michel Gondry directed this week's episode of "Flight of the Conchords," bringing his fascination with music and film to HBO.


Gondry, a critically acclaimed film director, has done music videos for The White Stripes, Paul McCartney, Bjork, The Vines, Radiohead, and Beck. He also directed the 2005 music documentary "Dave Chappelle's Block Party."


This week's episode is being hailed as a return to the hayday of "Flight of the Conchords", with the first four episodes of the season disappointing some fans.

Never seen the show - but this clip is funny.

The first four eps were just meh, the last one was better, but still not as good as last year. I was afraid of this though. Last year they used material that they had honed over years of performing and tweaking in front of live audiences. These songs just don't have that special Conchord's flare for some reason. Although, the one they feature in this article coems very close!

I also do like that Mel got to sing a little. MORE MEL PLEASE!!!!

Personally I have nothing against FOTC, but I think they are horribly unfunny and boring to watch.
I've never gotten so much as a chuckle out of them and don't know why HBO still keeps this show, meanwhile they cancel amazing shows like Deadwood and Rome.. Sigh..

Now see, go figure. I thought this week's episode was fairly lame, and really loved the preceding four. I thought they were as good as or better than the first season. The show seems to be becoming an actual musical, rather than a sitcom with music videos, and I like that.
