Former Colorado Senate Candidate Turns Margarita Pitchman

So, Bob Schaffer is a former House member from the state of Colorado who ran for the Senate and lost, and now he's on the news helping his wife sell margarita mix. And yeah, I'm supposed to laugh at this, because AHH HOW THE MIGHTY HAVE BEEN BROUGHT LOW! But hey, I sort of think margarita mix is great, and Schaffer seems pretty happy, so I say good for him! At any rate, he's not irritating the snot out of me in the way he and his Senate opponent Mark Udall did last year during their "debate" on Meet The Press:

And now they are talking over each other. Good luck Colorado. These two are horrible jerkwads, apparently. I'm not liveblogging this nonsense. I sort of hope a piano falls on both of these people. If that happens, I can catch it in fast forward. Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd, NO. Sorry, everyone, Mark Udall and Bob Schaffer left Meet The Press today under their own power, despite a nation's fervent prayer that both men's bones get ground to dust and spittle under the weight of a downward descending baby grand piano. Better luck next time, to everyone except Mark Udall and Bob Schaffer, who bore me senseless.

Anyway, selling margarita mix is probably contributing more for the world than anything I'll do today, and the embrace of "all natural ingredients" could get Schaffer out of dutch with the League of Conservation Voters, so I say win-win.

God - I hate this guy. His ad campaign against Udall had to be the very worst of the season. It portrayed Udall as skulking around like Bigfoot or something and in an old volkswagon van with pot smoke coming out of it. Coloradoans showed their appreciation by letting him have it at the polls. Guess what, Bob? We're not that stupid!

This guy is one of the world's biggest losers. I am so glad Colorado got rid of him. There is nothing wrong with selling Margarita mix, but he fancied himself to be a real bigshot. He was rude, hat eful, full of hubris and had no marketable job skills, so selling drink mix is a real shot of reality for him! Karma is great--especially when those you hurt get to see it in action.

Typical Republican. He didn't require a "stimulus" handout to get the business off the ground. He's making and selling a product that people actually want and choose to buy, not because of some government mandate. And if his product does well, who cares if his compensation exceeds $500,000? What a country!
