The Reader Parody

Last minute movie parodies are a staple of the week leading up to the Oscars, but this one's pretty great.

The original trailer for "The Reader" made it look like pretentious Oscar-bait, and it's widely assumed that Kate Winslet will win one of those little guys this Sunday. But as Manohla Dargis reminds us in the "Times":

"...you have to wonder who, exactly, wants or perhaps needs to see another movie about the Holocaust that embalms its horrors with artfully spilled tears and asks us to pity a death-camp guard."

Sara Benincasa and crew took that idea and ran with it.
