Joaquin Phoenix Dickipedia

Dickipedia:

Joaquin Rafael Phoenix (born October 28, 1974) is a retired actor, musician, supposed rapper, movie villain, life villain, producer, music video director, social activist, PETA member, and a dick.

Phoenix is, as theorists indicate, the specific breed of celebri-dick or dick-lebrity that complains about all the compromises, suffering, and public scrutiny they must endure while simultaneously earning five million dollars a movie. He is also a vegan since he was an infant, which speaks for itself.

If this article were a posted comment, it probably wouldn't have appeared. Strange, isn't it?

Wow.. lighten up people.. The Dickipedia is good for a laugh, that's all... When someone does something arrogant, it generally ends up there..

This is just unfunny, mean-spirited garbage I'd expect from Rush and O'Reilly fans.

The only dickipedia worth mentioning in this article seems to be the guy who would take a by-line for this kind of junk..

Joaquin Phoenix hasn't done anything bad to anyone. Leave the guy alone. His own brother Rivers Phoenix died in his arms several years ago. Find someone else to knock.

So True! Is this the kind of person you would consider to be a dick? And how can you say that because he is making informed compassionate, earth friendly food choices that he is a dick. Perhaps whoever wrote this should become informed.

being vegan is something that saves innocent lives from being cruelly murdered and saves the planet too. how can this be seen as bad?
joaquin phoenix is great. people just pick an easy target and others just follow. sad.

There is no George W. Bush dikipedia page.

Thus, dikipedia has no credit whatsoever.

it seems to me it takes one to know one... the folks at Dickipedia seem to be a bunch of flaming weenies as well. What is this new American thing about ripping a person to shreds. Judge his work, or his music, but his childhood (?) , like he had some choice in the matter, it's a bit much.

So - if you are born into an Opus Dei branch of Roman Catholics, this dooms you to a future of dogmatic cravenness? Really? Food choices are now dictated by human decency. The days of the bucolic family farm are OVER, folks. It is ugly out there. I do not choose to participate in it. If you witness these practices PERSONALLY, and still choose to eat meat, well, someone in your lifetime missed out on developing an empathic child. Probably was their goal - not much value on empathy these days, you know.Tired of people justifying their food choices under the guise of "god ("God" )given rights and taste for chicken wings.? If third world children were tasty, readily available (it's even tough to adopt them), someone would find a way to rationalize eating them or putting them out of their misery. As it is, some folks only honor life in the form of sperm or a vaginally situated child- once they pop , they become "collateral damage" - especially if they are Mideastern. Stop it with the Vegan, Vegetarian bashing. Ours is more of a religion than any of you Christina soldiers. We don't just "fast" during Lent ....... we give up tasty piglets, geese, slabs of whole cow, etc. because we believe in not deliberately inflicting suffering. Even Jesus Christ offered HIS BLOOD for drinking at the Catholic masses - "Eat my Body, Drink by Blood" we Catholics cheerfully sing. in unison. Not "Eat steak and drink chicken

You're right, the days of the bucolic farm are over - but not just for meat, for most food we eat. When you think of working conditions, health risks and human rights violations involved in harvesting produce for your salads, I hope you're not too self-righteous about how your food choices haven't "inflicted suffering"... the vigilance to ensure humane standards for harvesting any food goes well beyond making simple meat - immoral, vegan - good arguments. Unless you're out there fighting for migrant farm worker rights, I wouldn't pat yourself too much on the back (and it's not that I disparage in any way others decisions to choose a vegetarian or vegan diet - just don't throw it in the face of others that in some way it's morally superior, it's not).

and no, we don't have "god"-given rights to eat chicken wings, just a natural predisposition - having been omnivores for centuries we're "hard-wired" like many other animals (and you're next foray into eating third world children makes about as much sense as Rush's comparison of Democrats and murderers, so won't even go there...)

Joachin Phoenix is a talented man who willingly entered the public arena, was happy to reap it's benefits and in turn has behaved publicly in rude and bizarre ways like such the misunderstood "artist". As your post has clearly illuminated, it is not the choice to be a vegan that inspires "vegan-bashing", but the behavior displayed by a minority of it's vociferous enthusiasts...

HaHaHa - srsly? 3rd world children? yikes sounds like you need some protein! and BTW Jesus was Jewish & therefore ate lamb:

"Then came the first day of Unleavened Bread on which the Passover lamb had to be sacrificed. And Jesus sent Peter and John, saying, "Go and prepare the Passover for us, so that we may eat it."" (Luke 22:7-8)

I'm sure they slaughtered it humanely tho. not to mention all the fish. anyway,

I like Joaquin but he did choose a public life and whether it's a hoax or not should expect a little ridicule. They also left out his performance in 'Parenthood' which I thought was quite good

ah the old 'protein' line. the standard uneducated meat eaters response.

HansaGruber! good on you for speaking behalf of us people who respect life and equality for all.
why do people criticise vegetarians/vegans? why does it annoy them that we choose to live healthier and not kill for our meals?

if being vegetarian/vegan is worthy of being in this lame list then this list should be much longer as many great actors/thinkers of our time are also vegetarians/vegans.

-it's not a matter of survival anymore-

I think Joaquin has a weird and obscure sense of humor, sort of similar to Andy Kaufman, only unlike Kaufman, pretty much no one gets the joke and it really isn't very funny.

I just remembered something... this is the way Brad Pitt went around most of the time he was married to Jennifer Anniston. He looked like "Son of Sasquatch".

huffpost: actually not at all funny or clever. there's really nothing remarkably annoying about phoenix. you just seem unoriginal & annoying yourselves for taking the time to manufacture such a petty screed. yawn.

I feel sorry for old Joaquin he seems to need atttention even if it's negative. Considering his upbringing (dickapedia version not withstanding) it must have been very confusing for a little guy. Of course, it would seem he is still very confused. Either he is a better actor than we think he is or he is on some really interesting drugs or he needs some very serious help. Pick an option ---
