Jimmy Fallon's First Guest: Robert DeNiro

NEW YORK — If Jimmy Fallon is nervous about the premiere of his new gig as "Late Night" host, he'll have show-biz heavyweights Robert De Niro and Van Morrison to lean on. They'll be the guests for Fallon's March 2 debut hosting the NBC late-night show.

Fallon replaces Conan O'Brien, who has his final show Friday before heading out west to take over the "Tonight" show in June.

Morrison will perform material from his critically praised "Astral Weeks" album.

NBC says Tina Fey, Jon Bon Jovi, Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore, Donald Trump and Serena Williams are among other guests scheduled for Fallon's first week on "Late Night."

I love it when people pile on and show their true side. It is so refreshing to see how tolerant folks can be. For the most part, you lovely people couldn't do anything like host a guest show if it was sitting in your laps. (probably obese laps).

Yes, I think we are all showing our true side: stating the obvious.

If you are not qualified for a job, which Fallon is not, you should not venture into that job expecting tolerance. This is a HUGE responsibility and his resume/CV is not worthy of this wonderful opportunity.

Me, I know I cannot host a show of that magnitude, not obese either, but I am smart enough to know I would be out of my league. I wish the best, honestly, but he is terrible at humour, very one dimensional and it will wear thin fast.

Good luck Fallon, you'll need it.
