Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D., Nev.), aims to debate -- and potentially even pass -- a climate change bill that would put a cost on emitting greenhouse gases by the end of summer, his office said Friday.
A climate bill failed to pass in the chamber last year, but with a new President in the White House who wants to cut greenhouse gases 80% from 1990 levels by 2050 and larger majorities in both chambers, Mr. Reid's ambition is in step with President Barack Obama's agenda and campaign rhetoric.
