Will they also back the Afghan troop buildup?

Leaving 30-50,000 troops in Babylon is a big mistake, and not getting our troops out of Iraq....

Simple as that...

Thankfully we voted out the party that tended to look at complex problems in simplistic, absolute terms last November.

I guess it was Keith's way of being able to be fair and find something to fault Obama for. But I think the majority of folks understand that a campaign promise of 16 months is one thing, but getting all the facts and weighing all the information from the military (that Obama did NOT have access to before he became President) means there will be some adjustment - it is a small adjustment.

We all want our troops home - but we also want them home safely and Iraq stable, so a bit of an adjustment seems very reasonable.

Keith Olbermann was really going on & on & on about this last night! So what it'll be 19 months instead of 16 months - and so what it'll be 2/3rd of the troops and not all ... the point is President Obama is keeping his word to end this war and bring the troops home!

I LOVE & support my president, and this is not a big deal.

I still love Keith, too -less than BO- but he really should get over this, please!

I'm glad you posted this scorpioleidy (we share the same sign Nov.9th).
My kids know to leave me alone at 8 PM when Keith is on.
Last night, he started getting annoying about this supposed 'renege" by Obama re: troop withdrawals.

I was surprised by Keith last night, too. Also, when the theory was 16 months, that was said to be June, 2010, but now the plan is probably going to be 19 months, and it will be August, 2010, so that is only two additional months, which should be understandable for almost everyone.

I was talking back to my TV telling Keith that it's only three months. How will ninety more days after being there for thousands of days going makes a huge difference? The damage has already been done and Pres Obama promised to get us out with more caution, safety, and planning than how we got ourselves into Iraq. We cannot leave a vacuum of power otherwise Iran will take over Iraq, so we have to get out carefully. I actually think it's a good thing because it shows that he is not picking an arbitrary date, but he is carefully planning our withdrawal.

Posted exact same argument with reference to KO last night and the fact that this article uses the more sensational "months later" rather than simply subtracting 16 from 19 and stating that this plan ends "three months later" than the plan Obama ran on. It's like they're trying to instigate a fight between the left and the WH. Thankfully the folks being interviewed didn't take the bait.

p.s. Moderation seems arbitrary when reasoned, on-topic posts are deleted for no apparent reason.
