CPAC Agenda: Joe The Plumber To Advise Young Conservatives As Panelist

Joe

On Thursday, conservatives will be descending on Washington DC, the place they like to slam the most, to galvanize their mission to take back Congress and the presidency. Reports say this year's Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) will bring in record numbers despite it not being a midterm or presidential election year. According to The Washington Times, 7,000 people attended last year and 9,000 are expected this year.

Last year President Bush and Cheney were the stars of the event. And Mitt Romney chose the conference to announce that he was suspending his campaign.

This year, Cheney and Bush are off the agenda, replaced by ghosts of the campaign trail like Joe the Plumber (Joe Wurzelbacher) and documentarian John Ziegler, who has been making the rounds to restore Sarah Palin's self-imposed media debacle with his documentary "Media Malpractice: How Obama Got Elected and Palin Was Targeted." And of course Rush Limbaugh will be there as the biggest draw.

Other events include: "Al Franken and ACORN: How Liberals are Destroying the American Election System"; "The Presidential Banquet with Master of Ceremonies: Rep. Michelle Bachmann"; "Bailing Out Big Business: Are We All Socialists Now?"; A book signing with Ann Coulter; "Media in the Obama Era: Is Journalism Dead?"; "The True Cost Of Global Warming Hysteria"; and "Will Congress Take Your Guns?"

HuffPost will have more reports on the convention. So check back!

So CPAC has gone gfrom Bush and Cheney as headliners to Joe the Plumber, Ann Coulter and Michele Bachmann? How hilarious is that. If you ever wanted proof that the GOP is in disarray, it's here in black-and-white. And Rush Limbaugh as "the great white whale". Wow. What a CIRCUS. Can't wait to hear the headlines coming from this one. The Dems don't have to make up stories about the Repugs. They are their own worst enemy.

It seems that Joe has had to handle a lot of s**t in his career as a plumber, so the smell from this group may be a comfort to him.

Joe the plumber is such a joke! His famous book-signing event yesterday lured an awe-inspiring number of eleven people. Who, by the way, MUST have been impressed! Five of 'em even bought his freaking book.

I wholeheartedly support Joe-the i.d.i.o.t in his new job as the poster boy of the GOP. The GOP looks bad as is. With him in the frontlines it will look even worse! Excellent idea! Go for it Joe!

I hope the Repugs spend lots of money on Joe. Put him on retainer. Donate to his cause. Please.

CNN Announcement:

Only 11 people show up for Joe Plumber's book signing and only 5 people bought his book. HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!! Give it up Joey.

Joe the plumber should go back to plunging stopped up toilets---that is, if some generous licensed plumber will hire him. Regardless, the Republican party, if it has any integrity left, should flush him down.

The idiot isn't even licensed!

Joe the Unlicensed Plumber has just overshadowed the fake sumo wrestler, Rush Limbaugh, as the Great Leader of the Republican Party. In their shadow is water boy Piyush Jindal and janitor Steeles. McCain, Palin, Cantor, John Bolton, Boehner, and McConnell are the GOP's runners for Prozac and Viagra to keep everybody happy at the CPAC conference. What a party!!!!!!!

I didn't think it could get more surreal.

Is this still the United States of America? Or a Disney film. Oh no...Twilight Zone.

Joe counseling young conservatives will be as successful as Sarah Palin instructing her daughter on birth control.

ok --- for what it's worth, these guys managed to control how things were done in washington for the better part of the last 30 years. so they ain't harmless. in fact, they've figured out how to get elected. so don't sell them short. they can do a lot of damage very quickly and they won't even tell you they're doing it. it starts with how campaigns are funded. it ends with loopholes in the part of that funding that goes to the party rather than the candidate. ever see 100% of democrats vote AS ONE? me neither. but they would if, as the republicans do, they promised to withhold campaign funding for members who fail to vote as instructed by the RNC and, if the fault is sufficiently visible, promise to run candidates AGAINST REPUBLICAN INCUMBANTS in primaries.

want to be a republican senator from maine? now's your chance.

somehow, i don't think this is what the founding fathers had in mind.
