The United Nations Human Rights Council, the one that issues those human rights violations, also has Iran, Libya and Saudi Arabia on it. And all of their resolution have been about Israel. Hardly any have been about another country, all Israel. So cry a freaking river, boo hoo, what the UN says here is worthless.
Israel stole no land from the Arabs...they WON the land in wars fought-and WON against Arab aggression aimed at wiping out Israel in 1948,'56 '67 '73 and in two intifadas. Borders change when there is a clear winner and loser in a war! The borders in Europe changed greatly after WW1 and WW2. It happens all over the world. If the Arabs win a war against Israel...the borders will change again.....But don't hold your collective breath for that to happen!

If you're gonna state that these fringe elements are back by AQ, you'd better provide a credible link to that. It seems to me that people are angry, very angry, that their lives have been rendered intolerable and that some individuals are expressing their rage this way...but unless you have proof of your statement, then stop stirring the pot, because we don't need rumors to make their lives even worse!

Regarding your statement below. I appreciate that you can understand my tenacity. However, know that the fight for justice is a battle that is never lost. Eventually justice will prevail. Justice grinds slowly but it grinds fine, but it always, always prevails. So I will not give up.

They'll let go and live and let live when rockets stop being fired on ttheir civilians. Same thing goes for the settlements, which they are ready to dismantle in order to ensure peace. As for holding the Palestinians hostage, that is a completely immature rationalization. Israel values it's civilians security more than it does the Palestinians comfortability and all its decisions are based on that rationale. Egypt shares a border with Gaza as well, yet you never say anything about Egypt having an obligation to the Palestinians. And by the way, Israel never stole any land, they won it in wars. Big difference.

Israel will find and use every excuse to continuing its bombing raid on Gaza. It doesn't matter that those people are in the midst of the worst humitarian crisis in their history. It doesn't matter that those people have been pounded for 3 weeks under the direst of conditions. it doesn't matter that tens of thousands of homes have been leveled and many of these people don't have even a tent over their head!

This is definitely a propagandist story. Though I don't fault Haaretz -- give them credit, they make it clear that they are only reporting on the claims of the IDF. The premise that this bombing run was a specific response to specific rocket attacks are ludicrous. For starters, there is no cause an effect -- you can't say for certain that the rockets fired had their components smuggled through these specific smuggler's tunnels. A lot of these tunnels are used primarily for food, medicine and fuel -- some for weapons too, undoubtedly, but not in the majority. Israel is laying down a clear strategy to literally starve the Gazans into submission, between the blockade, the cynical diplomatic ploys and the bombing runs.
And the secondary explosions? Well, Israel would have to be using bunker buster bombs to have any sort of success at destroying these tunnel networks. And those munitions /explicitly/ have secondary explosions. It's how they work -- the first "explosion" is merely a ground penetration, followed by a delayed subsurface detonation .
