Jennifer Siebel Newsom's Threesome Movie Hitting Theaters

Jennifer Siebel Newson, the actress who married San Francisco mayor Gavin Newsom, is about to be on the big screen in a movie called "The Trouble with Love," which includes a racy threesome sex scene. It is getting a limited release this Friday.

On her personal website Siebel wrote,

"The Trouble with Romance will be released February 1st on pay per view and Netflix, and will be screening at The Quad Theater in New York City Friday, February 27th through Thursday, March 5th"

She filmed the movie, which has been wilting on a shelf and has also known as "The Trouble with Romance," before she met her now husband.

The director spoke to Foxnews:

"It is going to cause quite a stir as people aren't used to seeing a political figure like this," director Gene Rhee told Tarts. "But I just hope people judge her (Jennifer) for her amazing performance not for her political associations."

The heartfelt film presents a quartet of vignettes on a disparate group of young adults exploring the trials and tribulations that come with falling and staying in love. According to Rhee, Newsom's explicit role involves an "eye-popping and racy" sex scene that involves hallucinations and turns into a threesome -- with a twist...

"It's always a little awkward (filming intimate scenes) but I'm a dancer and an athlete so I have a more tomboy figure so I just went for it," Newsom admitted. "The film was a challenge, but fun."

I'm not surprised that this movie had trouble getting funding - it looks like the most cliched of the most cliched chick-flicks of all time... SNORE! I wouldn't worry about the mayor's reputation getting hurt,no one is ever going to see this. Too bad we can't do something to get "he's not into you" out of the theaters. Sick of watching films where all that's important to a woman is running after love and will debase themselves to get it.

I think that this movie looks pretty good actually. All gavin newsom-ness aside, let the young lady (what is she 19-20 now?) pursue an acting career.
Why is sex such a big deal? Its one of the few pleasures we can experience naturally.

This won't cost him any votes votes in San Francisco. But, if he decides to mount a campaign for the governship, well, it could cost him. This film, combined with his past affair with the wife of a former friend and campign confidant, would be too much for voters...and an easy thing for opponents to intentionally take out of context.

Who cares? Americans and particularly Californians need to shed their puritan sensibilities. This is one area where Europeans are far more progressive than us. Look at Sarkozy's wife. Didn't stop him from becoming president and he's considered conservative by French standards. This has nothing to do with Newsom's ability to govern. The fact is this guy has charisma and well, some people just hate that.

I would worry more about his gay marriage position. Forty percent of CA is as backwards as the rest of the country.

Europe is LESS progressive when it comes to gender equality. Sarko was already prez when he started with Carla and then it was accepted because men are expected to chase hot tail. I don't think Hillary would ever have made it as far in the Latin countries (France, Italy, Spain) where a woman is measured by her reproductive success.

newsom is a lightweight and SF has gotten more riddled with the homeless since he's been Mayor. It's also looking very seedy - and not in an exotic way.

I think the movie might be worth it just to watch his performance.
