Two weeks ago, I reported that the betting money among CNN staffers was that Roland Martin was most likely to fill in for Campbell Brown while on maternity leave.
And I've now been informed that the network has officially tapped Martin to take the helm of her show, "No Bias, No Bull," for about eight weeks, beginning in early April.

Roland Martin is o k . That's not to say Roland does not have his own opinion about issues. He is African American and still maintains a level of credibility without selling out, not an easy accomplishment.
Soledad is o k , but not as strong. Roland should do a good job . He is respected.
There should be more African American hosts on cable television
I live in Illinois and I use to listen to Roland every morning on WVON. He is very much Respected.
He will do a great job filling in. Although I wish he had his own show on t.v.

It is unbelievable how the Politico article states that CNN believes Martin is partisan and does not think Brown is.. She has shown to be a Republican leaning anchor so this is laughable. I would prefer Donna Brazile or Jamal Simmons myself. I need the Huff bloggers help. I have written CNN and Anderson Cooper (Cable Negativity News) several times about Anderson Cooper referring to the President as Mr. Obama. Why can't he say "President Obama"? Roland puts humor in his reporting but when it comes down to an issue he has his facts and calls people out. I'll be watching.

Same here. Roland Martin projects himself as someone uniquely insightful but offers little in the way of unique insight.

Anderson Cooper is sexy.
Roland is okay... We will see how he does for a full hour at the wheel. I am sure how he does in these eight weeks will determine if a show of his own comes to pass. I would like to see more of Soledad O'Brien.
