I Like ItI Don’t Like It

Ron Howard and Jake Gyllenhaal (wearing a black trilby) can now add music video eye candy to their resumes.

The pair, along with Forest Whitaker, Quincy Jones and Samuel L. Jackson, are all players in Jamie Foxx's latest music video, "Blame It," directed by Hype Williams and also featuring T-Pain.

The video is a dark club scene with dancing and Foxx singing.

Be sure to watch the whole thing, which also includes women dancing in cages and Howard toasting a glass of champagne with a table full of friends.

Regardless of how you compare it to other R&B songs, it's still gonna be a hit this spring and possibly into the summer.

1. It's got a video that people will talk about and be curious about and watch simply because of the Hollywood film stars being in there.

2. This in turn will get people listening to the songs which actually gets catchy by the time you get to the last half of the song and you've heard the chorus and hook a few times.

3. It's actually not a bad tune to listen too while your driving or just chilling or whatever you're doing.

Some of you may not like the song, but it's useful to try and understand why and how some songs become hits even if you don't like them.

Oh hang on, it's already been number one on the Billboard R&B. Not being a Billboard chart follower, I hadn't realised.

Of course people on here are not going to be into it. People on here are tight wad, NOT young people. They don't like to party, they DON'T party. DON'T have fun! Don't have people want to sleep with them! Lol. And they can't have fun because they over analyze everything and are WAAAAAAY too serious!

This is a fun, cool song! KUDOS to Jamie and all the FUN, LIVELY people that were in it!

Is this only a big deal because they are white people and Jamie Foxx is black and black and white people hanging out together or being in a music video together is a big deal? How sad! This is not NEWSWORTHY. I like this song btw, great party song and i've been in that situation. But still, Ron Howard and Jake Gyllenhaal being in the video should not be shocking.

I thought America was over being color struck?! Guess not. Oh well...

And some of you are so serious...lighten up. Most people on here have little to no fun or humor about themselves...

Don't try and understand this video if your not familiar with R&b or hip-hop!. Just know that if you where in that world and this song was playing you would be having big, ultimate fun; especially being around all those stars!

This video is sad. I am disappointed in Quincy and Opie and the assortment of stars and all of the women who participated in this Date-Rape video. Listen to the lyrics. I know it is just a song, but see how long it takes you to start singing the lyrics to yourself as you do your laundry. Words do matter. Blame it on the alcohol as we ply women with alcohol and then take advantage of them. But everyone is having a good time, right? I know I might appear overly critical, but I worked with college students for 10 years and I can not tell you the number of times I've had to deal with the very sad fact of young women dealing with assault after being under the influence of alcohol. Why is Quincy being a part of this? Quincy Jones!!?? My head is going to explode.

um yeah.

all the talent involved in this and the best we get is a song about getting some chick drunk and bangin boots.

we are to believe that jamie foxx, arguably one of the most talented men of our time, has to ply women with alcohol to peak their interest.

meh.

YOU r trippin'. You took this FAR beyond the meaning of the video. I am well aware of date rape. But this video just focused on people hookin' up after getting drunk. That does happen quite often with willing and wanting consent from both parties.

wow! That's mighty white of you. I'm sure Mr. Howard appreciates your concern for his black cultural indoctrination.
