Talking Points Memo:

Looks like the game is up.

Remember that story Bobby Jindal told in his big speech Tuesday night -- about how during Katrina, he stood shoulder-to-shoulder with a local sheriff who was battling government red tape to try to rescue stranded victims?

A judge has cleared the way for victims in New Orleans to take the Army Engineers to court: http://www.newsinferno.com/archives/5212#more-5212

I just watched the piece on him on 60 minutes. It says a lot about a person's true character when he changes his name, religion and then completely distances himself from his roots and culture. We are all Americans but we all tend to keep parts of our culture alive whether we are from Poland, England, India or Timbucktoo. There is something not quite right with Bobby Jindal.

Interesting little puff piece on 60 Minutes last night, timed no doubt to take advantage of his slip and fall moment on the national stage earlier last week.

In addition to your bill of particulars as to why he is unqualified, in the opinion of many for national office, is the bit they mentioned in passing that this supposedly well-educated, worldly-wise, bright young fella/Rhodes Scholar believes in Intelligent Friggin' Design and has pushed to make it part of the school curriculum in Louisiana!

Not even George W. Bush succeeded in doing that!

Vote pandering seemingly knows no bounds, clearly, and especially in the case of Piyush Jindal, NOT qualified to be president.

Stay in Louisiana and do the job for which you were elected. They need you more there than we need you in Washington.

Ditto for you too, Sarah.

Reminiscent of a story I heard about ducking bullets in Bosnia . . . . .

Telling "fibs" for no good reason is pedestrian for most politicians, but Jindal's specific lie attempts to spread responsibility away from the incompetent response by the Republicrat Administration at the time.

"Hard to teach an old dog new tricks" . . . . .

Republicrats have always utilized "un-truths", innuendo and character assassination to achieve political victory . . . . nothing new here.

Jindal is my governor. I have said things about him (in writing) that were so horrible that the moderators had to protect you from them. Now, it would appear, his pants are on fire. I sincerely hope that his political career is over. Nip it I say. Nip it in the bud.

Since you live in Louisiana, work to see that he never gets re-elected as governor, or gets anywhere near a presidential race. You have the power to nip it in the bud. Good luck.

The country is going to hell in a handbasket and THIS is what you get upset about? Prime example of why people are turning their backs on politics. And by the way, you may want to read this article:

The Bush-Cheney disciples may yet get behind Piyush Jindal in 2012.

After all, he clearly meets one prerequisite: He obviously maintains a decidedly casual relationship with the truth.

Now, there are a couple other areas he'll have to address to further burnish his image:

1 - Maybe he could purchase Bush's "ranch" in Crawford, that is, if it hasn't been turned back into a turkey and hog farm yet. Owning a "ranch" is very macho -- just ask Michael Jackson about how his life changed after buying his ranch.

2 - Better get fitted for a ten-gallon hat and deliberately mangle his sentences -- he wouldn't want his potential consistuents to think that he was smarter than them, would he?

3 - Maybe he can do a few photo ops showing him clearing brush, or rather, trimming kudzu in his home state, where it has taken over. For details: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kudzu
For photos: http://www.jjanthony.com/kudzu/

4 - And maybe a few acting lessons, and time in front of some focus groups -- After all, if he's going to win over the Bush-Cheney crowd, he has to be the kind of guy that the rednecks would love to have a beer with -- right?

Look out for Piyush Jindal in 2012!

In Louisiana, Piyush will really get down with his peeps when he refers to himself as a "coonass," a term of affection in Cajun country.

Had to mention that caveat before Julie and the hall monitors come out to take me to task over it.

He needs to take some ethics lessons from Kenneth The Page. Kenneth would never do anything like that. I have started calling Jindal "Jingle" because he is such small change.

For the GOP to use one of the most horrific natural disasters to ever hit this country is absolutely disgusting! How dare they dishonor the memories of those lost and disrespect those affected by Katrina. Horrible!

That's the thing I don't get. The GOP treats the site of the World Trade Center and other Sept. 11th attack locations as hollowed ground and the people who died as a result as virtual saints, yet the post-Katrina disaster is something to be forgotten.

Both were the result of the negligence of the Bush administration, one is used to beat the drum for endless war, and the other, well, who cares? Stuff happens, right?

If Pie-oosh runs in 2012, it's high time he and the GOP will have to wear a big Katrina sign around their necks to serve as a reminder of just how bad things go when the Republicans are in charge.

And if that doesn't work, we've got a few more reminders in our bag of tricks.

You paying attention, Rush?

Nope and I don't think the Republicans have hit rock bottom yet. The GOP have sunk even lower since Obama became President.
