Meshugene Men (VIDEO)

"Mad Men" is a fantastic show in its own right, but possibly better are the parodies it spawns. College Humor and SNL have already gotten in on the action and now the Shushan Channel has made this video to promote their upcoming Purim show at 92Y Tribeca.

Co-written by HuffPost's own Rob Kutner, and starring (among others) Amy Sedaris and Matthew Walton, the group imagines the advertising world in the Sixties at a Jewish ad agency trying to sell Mayo to god's chosen people.

It takes shots at the antisemitism of the time, but also pokes fun at the dark and brooding period show by replacing cigarettes with menorah candles and real booze with Manischewitz.

I grew up in NYC, I love me some Jewish food, and I was given an honorary Jewship in high school (let's just put it this way: I've been to so many seders, I actually know why "this night" is different from all others.) But I don't recognize the delectable-looking yummies they're eating in the second scene. (Shouldn't they be eating hamentashen? Mmm.) There's lox and bagels, and...? The sight of them is tickling a vague memory, but I can't quite remember.

At any rate, they look delish!
What are those things?
