I Like ItI Don’t Like It

New York Times:

With a vast 25,000-square-foot operation that can produce a new episode in a week, Matt Stone and Trey Parker, the creators and principals of "South Park," do work they like, control its digital sale and display, and participate in its profits.

I stopped by the studio to talk to Mr. Stone because he had some news: the two men and their partner Comedy Central had consummated a deal with Netflix to stream the first nine seasons of "South Park."

Like the studio boss he now is, Mr. Stone wouldn't go into specifics on money, but South Park Studios already had streams of the 181 episodes on its Web site that had served up over 300 million views since it went live just last April. That's a whole lot of naughty going on.

South Park is too preachy. I hate "one thing I learned." And they wasted an entire episode hating Family Guy. It was not funny. I loved the South Park musical, though.

Its kind of ironic since the creators say they hate preachy people yet they do the same with their own show..

why would anyone pay netflix when they can just go to southparkstudios.com and watch every episode for free?

Just Google South Park. Several sites have been streaming all 12 years of shows free for awhile.

This is awesome. I can't wait for this to happen. Netflix instant movies is seriously lacking in the cartoon department.

Umm there used to be dozens of sites that did this for free. They even arrested one dude in England for doing it. The quality wasn't that great, but you could get em all.

Now you could get all 12 seasons on southparkstudios, with pretty decent quality. What will netflix add to that?

My Xbox 360 says "Thank you!" I'll be streaming all the South Parks I missed over the years - and a couple faves all over again.

Brillinat. Streaming Netflix off the Xbox has changed my life. No, seriously.

Southparkstudios.com already does this, except they stream all 12 seasons.
