Les Moonves

Broadcasting & Cable:

CBS Corp. CEO Leslie Moonves ruled out a merger of the company's news operations with Time Warner's CNN.

Speaking at the Deutsche Bank media and telecommunications conference, Moonves was asked about a possible merger of CBS News and responded, "We've have five different discussions with CNN about doing something together, and it has appeared to be unmanageable."

He added that Time Warner has also had talks with ABC. "We do look for opportunities to do a deal with CNN, but it's not in the cards."

If Leslie Moonves was to even think about pulling this off, he knew he be out the door after the deal goes down.

Does anyone know how to contact CNN directly...?
If you call the switchboard they say they have a new ' policy '. Got to the website to ' post a comment '... yeah Right... that goes to nobody.
I have the Atlanta address from them and they say address it to ' Programming '... not to a Person who is in charge (or a CEO )

Can you get in contact with anybody there...? Anybody ever tried....?

By the time they report news, it's old news. There's nothing to offer viewers.

All of these media giants are in trouble because their news isn't relevant to it's viewers. From my viewpoint, it's all shaded by the corporate view that will only appeal to those who support big business and conglomerates. I usually trust about 1% of what they say and get more of my news from other sources.

and the reason everyone is saying the Media is having so many problems with low viewership is because they i.e. media refuse to adhere to the responsibility to be watchdogs for america. They have cherry picked the news stories or have glossed over the important information we need to make good choices. People are starved for real information not what their corporate heads want us to see and know...You can only watch so much cotton candy
