Brad Pitt, Pelosi Meet In Washington (VIDEO)

Brad Pitt met with Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and Rep. James Clyburn (D-SC) on Thursday to discuss the 45-year-old actor's charity efforts in New Orleans. The three held a press conference after the meeting.

Watch:

Pitt founded "Make It Right" in 2007 to help build environmentally sustainable housing for low-income residents in New Orleans who lost their homes during Hurricane Katrina. He was nominated for a best-actor Oscar for "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button."

Obama has had face time with average citizens who do good works--for example he introduced the public to two of them in his address, the banker who gave away huge sums of money to his employees and the young school girl who wrote them a letter about school.

I feel inspired hearing about what Brad is doing and would like to see this used as a model in other areas. New homes with ten dollar utility bills?!! ! I think anyone who did that would get face time.

And four months wait to get a white house tour? Thats not that long, considering!

The reason his project is getting so much attention is because it was different. It addressed several issues.. such as ensuring safety of the occupants when the levees fail again (specially designed for flooding at the water levels even higher then Katrina).. making sure they could afford these quality green homes being built (loans given specially built to match the occupants budget and is a forgivable loan) and then long after the cameras and attention are gone (look at the problem with some of the Habitat for Humanity houses being unhealthy to live in), plus these houses are energy efficient lower the monthly bills for utilities and were built with renewable cradle to grave products.

Once finished with this.. I think he is tackling a green apartment complex and a community center.

And it is much easier for good PR to write a check then to fly into Sierra Leone or Darfur or Iraq or Thailand and actually meet with refugees and learn what their needs are.. that is the just for show charity.. attend a black tie dinner or do a 30 second commercial for St Jude.. it takes real heart and determination to actually face people in need in their deplorable conditions and say looking them in the eye.. I hear you and I will try to make a difference for you.

I think this "so called good work of brad pitts" is just a cover for his perverse lifestyle. It makes him feel good about his sordid life. Just like his partner Jolie keeps having kids to get attention and make people think she is the united nations mother...makes them feel good when they live dark lifestyles
