Michael Jackson's Face During Tour Announcement (PHOTOS)

Michael Jackson held a press conference in London on Thursday to announce that he will once again perform live in a concert series this summer.

Jackson's appearance gave the press its first opportunity to photograph the reclusive "King of Pop" in years.

He has been spotted by paparazzi on occasion at book stores and in Las Vegas, and even reportedly dressed as a woman in Bahrain, but there have been few public appearances in years.

Below are photos and zooms of photos of Jackson on Wednesday. Despite wearing black sunglasses and what appears to be a thick wig, there was still plenty to look at.

Oh, for crying out loud, leave the man alone.... I'd like to see any of you from that up close and see how you fare. He is 50 years old after all... And enough already with this focus on his face - that is completely irrelevant­. The man has a skin disorder (responsib­le for his depigmenta­tion), which has been documented and proven, he has admitted to nose surgeries and the cleft in his chin. All of this has been known for more than 15 years. Why are we still talking about it?!
What is important is his body of work and unparallel­ed contributi­ons to his field. Without question he is the most electrifyi­ng performer of all time and has touched millions upon millions of people with his music and dance. Give the man a little respect - he more than deserves it!

Is that his nose or what? Last I heard the tip was rotting off - and in the pics that nose looks dark at the tip OR is that whole thing a prosthetic­??

In looking at him he seems to have some sort of degenerati­ve bone problem (just surmising)­. I seem to recall some years back about him having a strong interest in the "elephant man's" bones. I wonder now if there was a legitimate reason for that interest?
