Where is Sarah Palin's $180,000 wardrobe? Six months after the RNC footed the bill for the infamous Sarah Palin shopping spree, that question still goes unanswered....and it took FOX News to ask it.

"To my knowledge, the RNC donated the clothes, and in a quiet and respectful manner," Palin's spokeswoman, Meg Stapleton, told FOXNews.com in an e-mail Tuesday.

But a source close to the clothing discussion told FOXNews.com last Wednesday that the RNC had not donated the clothes and that the wardrobe has remained at the RNC since Nov. 7, when it was returned.

The RNC will not confirm whether it donated the various clothing and accessories it purchased for Palin at the start of her vice presidential run. And phone calls by FOXNews.com to local Washington charities that would accept women's clothing yielded no information.

In January, NewMajority reported that the clothing was sitting in trash bags at RNC headquarters.

A pair of Palin's shoes were sold for $2,025 on eBay that same month.

Take a look at a few of Sarah Palin's campaign trail ensembles:

If the republican party was smart they would have given palin a set of "ciderella" clothes. So when the clock struck twelve they would have disappered.

Is it not possible to be pro-Democrat and intellectually consistent at the same time? Palin and the Republicans deserve to be blasted over the fancy clothes. But over at the Nancy Reagan story, any mention of the fact that her own haute couture was largely gifted from designers (tax free) is scrubbed. Hmmmm. I wonder what's up with that . . .

They probably want to hang on to them if she wants to run in four years though any radical intolerant conservative who can get these shoes on may do. This is the GOP's budget plan. It has a certain simplicity.

This is so dumb and such a non-story. Who cares?! The Republican Party yanked this woman and her large family out of the backwoods and put her in the spotlight, they should have budgeted for dressing them. That the Palins would be expected to return the clothing is just stupid. It's peanuts in the scheme of things.

It is also stupid to think that during the media circus of the 2008 campaign Palin would be doing her own shopping in a public place. Not. Some staffers picked this stuff out and painting the scene as if Palin was running through stores grabbing things off the rack is unnecessarily insulting to her considering how many real issues she could be confronted on.

The reason it is NOT a non-story is because it again shines the spotlight on how corrupt and what a bunch of liars the GOP is. They first run her as the common everyday woman and then they try to deny that they spent huge amounts of money on her wardrobe. Plus, she could never answer any question that she was not prepped for - she is a phony as is the GOP.

Does Dick Cheney always pick the vice presidential candidate for the Republican party?

You know what? This type of article is really sad, esp in a publication begun by a woman & her ex-husband's alimony. Let's get real. Today, in THP I see a story about Hillary & her love of chocolate. A story about Michelle O's arms & now this story about Palin's wardrobe. It's sad when journalism has been replaced by the sound bite of the day -- just as its sad when people are depicted as fashion divas or chocoholics with no respect for their work.

Maybe THP will pull this comment; maybe they won't. Who knows?

Nobody has ever commented on how much $ McCain spent re: wardrobe for the campaign or whether he got to keep his clothes or not. Nobody has commented on Pres. Obama's arms/abs - but then again what else can we expect from a medium that promotes racism via Rush and sensationalism via "whatever anyone feels like posting so long as his name is Michael Moore"...

Rush can take the right and Moore can take the left - but let's remember that most educated Americans don't fall into sensationalistic extremes -- extremism has gotten us into more messes than pundits will admit to... frankly pundits make their money by being extreme... the rest of "the people" just want decent representation in government, a fair shake at their Bill of Rights & are really tired of left wing and right wing extremism in 'journalism' or the reasonable facsimile thereof (e.g., the bloggernalist)

Palin has a lot ot enemies in Alaska and her stunt with the clothes was not the first thing she stole, concumbined. Alaskans were going to impeach her when Cheney, Rove and Gingrich saved her ass and steered McCain into this for base support. It had more to do with OIL than with any speculated talent they thought she might have. Stevens had just been charged in Alaska and was going down fast. Palin, both of them, were part of Cheney's operations in Alaska for drilling and Bush's. Knowone mentions the trips to the WH in the two years preceeding the campaign by both Palin's. Since 2006, life has been hard for the "Corrupt Old Bastards Club" which Palin was part of. Many voices from Alaskans in early 2008 about both Palin's and the involvement, some were apparently frriends, spoke of Cheney's calls to Sarah Palin in the month's preceeding the nomination of her. Billy Kristol knew of it, Newt Gingrich knew of it..............they just had to swindle McCain into it, which they ffinally did to get support from crackpots on the right like Limbaugh.

Big difference between Palin's kids and Michelle O's. Look at the little obstinate girl with a arms crossed.

duze..........I've always detested that picture of the little one. It's just so like her mother. She shows on the outside, what her mother is on the inside. I've read so many post of the past where as people think the child is cute in that pose. NOT!!!

Cute, not ! The little thing has every trait of her mother. She's only seven and she already thinks she is owed "it". The shot of her with the designer purse looks like the poor thing is dragging a suitcase. What the he// was her mother thinking?
