Tonya Harding Slams Barack Obama: "He Has To Bring Me Up?!" (VIDEO)

During an interview with HBO's Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel, Tonya Harding verbally slams Barack Obama for using her name to get across a few points.

At one event in 2007 Obama said:

"Folks said there's no way Obama has a chance unless he goes and kneecaps the person ahead of us, does a Tonya Harding," Obama joked, referring to the female skating champion who conspired to harm a competitor during the 1994 U.S. Figure Skating Championships.

"We decided that's not the kind of campaign we wanted to run," he said.

You people are pathetic...This woman has paid her dues...What more can she do or lose that would make you happy ?....I know this post is going to make me a target.. I love figure skating and love watching the winter olympics...I am sorry that Tonya felt that she could not have beat Nancy on the ice...Harding was a great skater, alot better than Nancy...I know some of you a Democrats and alot of you can forgive a public figure that had a wreck,.. submerged car,.. woman left in submerged car, ..swam away ..and did'nt report the accident until the next morning...Buy you spew hate at the speed of light at this young woman who has paid and paid dearly.....I have to admit when I was told that Nancy had been attacked the first thing that I said was Where was Tonya ...but I said it joking..I was just as suprised as everyone else was when they heard about the attack...Tonya ,I would love to see you skate again , thanks for the memories !!....Leave her alone haters...

Unfortunately Tonya when you knee cap another skater, you become famous and people make jokes about it. Here is a good way to not draw attention to it, is to not go on TV and complain about it. Because many people including myself had not heard about it until I read this story. Just sayin.

Trailer Trash Tonya has had a rough go of it for sure. And yes, chances are likely she was abused as a child, so she is damaged goods.

No doubt though she is looking for publicity so she can travel the country with her one woman carnival show and still draw a crowd. Still, I'm sure President Obama doesn't mind helping her with a little stimulus with his scandalous use of her name. Ha ha.

Poor girl, time has not been good to her. She looks haggard and a little chubby today... I'd be cautious of skating on thin ice if I were her... I hope she gets a few more gigs and can earn a living...

I'm not sure what your comment means. Perhaps I missed some reality show or something.

However as far as Paula Jones goes, she was sexually abused, without any provocation, by Bill Clinton. Bill Clinton had to pay her over $800,000.

It is extremely important to think twice before deriding those who are victims of sexual abuse.

Paula Jones was a victim; Tanya Harding was a perpetrator.
