What's Your Reaction?

Last night's Saturday Night Live was hosted by Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, and he showed what happens when you finally cause President Obama to lose his famous cool: he undergoes a Hulk-like transformation and turns into "The Rock Obama." Egged on By Rahm Emanuel to finally get mad, "The Rock Obama" shows Republican senators why you shouldn't oppose him.

The show's opening skit took on Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner and his difficulties inspiring confidence in his plan to salvage the financial system. Let's just say he's looking for ideas if you have any.

Watch "The Rock Obama" and the Tim Geithner opener below.

Now if only that were the response AIG received the next time they call asking for more bailout money. Enough already.

Funny skit, haven't seen SNL since the primaries but glad to see they still have some stuff worth watching.

Rahm Emanuel looks like the new plum role of SNL, following Tina Fey's Sarah Palin. I would love to see the real Rahm on the show -- the writers would probably work his ballet talent into a skit -- but I suppose it wouldn't be fitting for a Chief of State.

Part of what made "The Rock Obama" so good was its brevity. For 30 years (at 30 Rock!) SNL has had difficulty ending its sketches, notably the Geithner sketch (Did anyone happen to notice Will Forte's eyelashes? I thought they were fake at first. Amazing.) Whether you approve or disapprove of Dwayne Johnson's politics, that tat on his left pec makes it easier to overlook.

A bright spot in an otherwise typically "feh" SNL

May have been funny, but don't like the "Rock" or his politics.

I've never seen the Rock on SNL - he was fabulous! In fact I think this was their best post-election show. And he really sounded like a combination of Obama with Hulk-like missing participles, hilarious!

The Rock Obama was funny as **** and I also liked the Michael Steele one too!! Apparently Steele's pal Hannity didn't think the skit was funny and called it "controversial" on his show last night!!

Hannity, really? Mister "I wear my treason on my sleeve by putting a poll on my website inviting viewers to vote on the best method of waging revolution" Hannity? I guess the Manatee would know about controversial.

The Rock has *always* been good as a host of SNL. In fact, I would rate him up in the top tier. He was hilarious opposite Chris Kattan as Mr. Peeps partner.

Anyway, The Rock is long past wrestling, and he's always been a good actor. In fact, a lot of wrestlers get into the business just to break into acting. The Rock has a bunch more family-friendly movies lined up, too. He's the new thing.

But, The Rock Obama was actually really funny. I don't think the script was lacking...it's a live show, so I think the timing was a bit imperfect. I loved when he slammed down the phone. And when Kristin Wig started explaining herself, The Rock stands up and goes, "Mmmmmmmmm"...that was amazing.

He was Mr. Peepers's Dad! That entire show he hosted that year was the best.

Like many of the show's recent opening bits, the Geithner piece simply went on for too long. Funny for the first 90 seconds, but after a few minutes it was wearing thin.

I liked The Rock Obama idea, but as others have pointed out it misfired a bit due to the script.

The real shock of this weeks SNL? Duane Johnson is really talented! I mean, I know these pro wrestler guys have to be good atheletes and decent actors, but damb! He can sing! And dance! And be ironically self-deprecating! I see a musical comedy in this guy's future!! Whoda thunk?
