I Like ItI Don’t Like It
Drew

Drew Barrymore is on the cover of W magazine's April issue and inside she gives a revealing interview on her new role, her mom, her ex, and rehab.

On feeling liberated to play the darker character of "Little Edie" Beale in Grey Gardens, airing in April on HBO ... "I was excited to bring my own pain to something. I mean, contrary to my happy-go-luckiness, I have so much darkness in there. Playing Edie, I felt like s---. I thought, I'm afraid beyond anything I've ever known. I'm miserable; I'm scared; I feel sick all the time. And I was like, Good! At least I have somewhere to put it. You know what? I'm not f---in' happy all the time. I like making people feel good, but it was great not to have to please anybody. I was out there for myself and for her."

On how isolating herself to prepare for THE dramatic role as "Little Edie" Beale reminded her of being in rehab as a kid... "I got institutionalized as a kid, and I felt like I was back there. A lot of times I found myself unhappy and isolated, and the only other time I felt that way was when I was in there. It was absolutely trying to relearn to live. You are learning to become someone else."

On her 5 year relationship with ex - boyfriend Fabrizio Moretti of the Strokes...
"One of the most, if not the most, important relationships I've had in my life. We're still very close. I'm just learning who I am and how relationships work and how to make them function. No different from anyone else."

On her relationship with her own mother being "the polar opposite" of a love story...
"My mother and I split ways when I was very young and have never really reconciled."

Fortunately, her mom was not an evil untcay who had her poisoned and irradiated for a dozen years for not "appreciating" what she was given - which is the modus operandi of gangg_stalkerrs - whom the cops never arrest.

I think she has had her uniqueness removed surgically and now looks like every other actress/celebrity who appears in these magazines. She used to be quite cute and very appealing, now nothing!!!

Didn't she like her appearance as she was?

Very sad. Plastic hollywood, plastic people. Unhappy people lacking self esteem and self-love.

When are they good enough? Age is coming!

She looks amazing on the mag cover. In real life she is a cutie, but looks nothing like that.

Interesting comments on this post. Drew actually carries the strong physiognomy of the Barrymore clan, and resembles her great- grandmother Georgiana Drew, mother of Lionel, Ethel, and Drew's grandfather John. The Barrymores have been blessed with great sensitivity, intelligence and talent, and plagued with alcoholism and mental illness. I'm glad there is still one around. Go, Drew!

One of the things I like about Drew Barrymores look is her wholesome cutesy-ness. Her attractiveness is in her cute imperfection. This cover presents the stale, boring, "sexy" template the glamour industry plugs a million faces into. YAWN. Do they think people only find this one homogenous look attractive ? Teased, dyed blonde hair ( double yawn), and smudgey, overdone, half -closed eyes. Yawn yawn yawn.

Her egg & sperm donor were disasters as parents. When I use to see pictures of a 10 yr old Drew in clubs and hung over, I couldn't believe my eyes!!!! No wonder Drew has commitment issues. It appears she got some therapy though. She could've been much worse and strung out like so many other Hollywood kids.

Drew appears to have fixed her eye and dropping side of her face. She does look more attractive after the surgery. All these actresses are having face surgery to add chin and cheek implants plus nose jobs so that they look happy and chiseled all the time. These surgeries are now routine as plucking the eyebrows.
